The ASH Faculty, Staff, Assistants and Company Members are excited to see you at ASH NaKonals! We are here to provide dancers, teachers and parents with a fun and safe week of non-stop dance. Your week includes: a welcome show, convenKon classes, teacher acKviKes, parent class, scholarship audiKons, open compeKKon, theCOMPANY Intensive, ASH Assistant audiKon and the gala!

REGISTRATION RegistraKon will take place in the lobby, please check the event schedule for exact Kmes. Upon registering you will receive your wristband(s), audiKon number(s) and addiKonal workshop informaKon. Dancers registered with a studio DO NOT need to individually check in at the registraKon booth. Teachers will pick up the registraKon materials for all dancers in their group. If the registered studio owner is not acending the event, please email info@ashproducKons.com to designate an individual to pick up the registraKon packet. Dancers will need their wristbands for the enKre event.

RELEASE WAIVERS All dancers, teachers and observers must sign a “release and waiver of liability agreement” in order to parKcipate at ASH ProducKons events. If you have not already done so, please visit www.ASHWaiver.com.

WRISTBANDS Each dancer, teacher and in-person observer will receive an ArKsts Simply Human wristband that must be worn at all Kmes during the event, including during the Open CompeKKon. Individuals not wearing a wristband will not be permiced to enter the ballrooms. Wristbands cannot be transferred, and if lost, full payment is required to receive a new band, NO EXCEPTIONS! In Person Observers will be sold at the Merchandise throughout the week, please note this does NOT include virtual access.

DANCE PARTY! - “THE MASKED BALL” Join the ASH Faculty, Staff, Assistants and Company Members on Monday, July 5th at 8PM for the ASH Dance Party - “The Masked Ball!”! You will dance and sing your heart out to the spinning tunes of the DJ, and go home with your memories captured in our photo booth! Teachers and Parents are welcome! A cash bar will be open for aDendees ages 21+. NEW! We will be having a “Best Mask” Contest! Wear your most elaborate mask (feel free to decorate one yourself) and the most creaKve and best mask wins! The winner will receive an ASH Merchandise voucher!

“THE NEXT STEP” SEMINAR Join our incredible panel represenKng talent agencies and colleges to answer all of your quesKons about taking the next step in your dance career! The seminar will take place during the lunch break on Tuesday, July 6th from 12PM-1PM, so bring your lunch and your quesKons! Teachers and observers are welcome!

SCHOLARSHIP & PROFESSIONAL AUDITIONS Dancers must acend the audiKon combo class and audiKon with their appropriate age group. Dancers ages 22 and up, as well as one day dancers, are not eligible to audiKon for scholarships. AudiKon numbers must be worn during the audiKon, all convenKon classes and rehearsals. Dancers who are not audiKoning and teachers may NOT be in the ballroom during audiKons. AudiKons will not be streamed for Virtual Observers to view.

The ASH Faculty will award dancers numerous scholarships for ArKsts Simply Human’s 21/22 tour season, ASH: The Company, Millennium Dance Complex, Dance Spirit Magazine’s “Future Star Award”, The Movement Talent Agency, MSA Agency, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, AMDA College and Hussian College!

Scholarships will be announced during Scholarship Announcements on Wednesday, July 7th from 1PM-2PM, and during the Gala on Wednesday, July 7th from 8PM-11PM.

ASH ASSISTANT AUDITION Dancers who received ASH ApprenKce or ASH ApprenKce Runner Up during the 20/21 tour Season are eligible to audiKon for the opportunity to become a 21/22 ASH Assistant. Eligible dancers must be registered for the audiKon prior to the event. The ASH Assistant audiKon will be held on Friday, July 2nd. AudiKon numbers must be worn during the audiKon, all convenKon classes and rehearsals. The audiKon will begin with the dancer’s audiKon solo, dancers will not receive criKques or adjudicated awards for this solo. ASH Assistant audiKon solos will be broadcast LIVE at www.ASHWebcast.com and is open to audience members for viewing in the ballroom. PLEASE NOTE: Dancers should wear their costume for the solo. The ASH Assistant AudiKon is split into two age groups 12 & Under and 13 & Up, and will consist of a ballet, contemporary and hip hop combinaKon as well as improv, please refer to the event schedule for audiKon Kmes.

NEW THIS SEASON! All audiKoning dancers will take a headshot during the scheduled Kme for their age group on Friday, July 2nd. Please wear an all black outfit.

Dancers are required to acend all convenKon classes and seminars. The 2021/2022 ASH Assistants will be announced during the Gala on Wednesday, July 7th from 8PM-11PM. *Dancer must be present at the gala to accept their posiNon as an ASH Assistant if chosen.

CLOSING NUMBER: All dancers audiKoning to become a 21/22 ASH Assistant will perform in the closing number of the Gala. Dancers must acend all rehearsals (Friday, July 2nd, Monday, July 5th and Tuesday, July 6th as well as Gala Tech Rehearsals on Wednesday, July 7th). Bring plenty of water and healthy snacks as dancers will have breaks and Kme to eat. Teachers and observers may NOT be in the ballroom during rehearsals.

theCOMPANY INTENSIVE Dancers registered for theCOMPANY Intensive will have the opportunity to work with the ASH Faculty to learn an original piece that will be performed in the Gala on Wednesday, July 7th. Please arrive at 7:15AM for registraKon. Dancers will receive a NEW audiKon number (different from the audiKon number in your registraKon packets). theCOMPANY Intensive kicks off with an audiKon for placement (Concert and Commercial tracks only) on Saturday, July 3rd at 8AM followed by rehearsals from 9AM-4:30PM. Teachers and observers will NOT be allowed in the ballroom during rehearsals. AddiKonal rehearsals for all parKcipaKng dancers includes: Monday, July 5th , Tuesday, July 6th, and Gala tech rehearsals on Wednesday, July 7th.

COSTUMES: Please bring ALL costumes listed below for your registered track to the event! Once you are placed in a piece, the ASH Faculty member will let you know which costume is theirs. Make sure you bring all costume opMons to rehearsal on Saturday, July 3rd. *Dancers registered for the Commercial Track that are 11 & Under and the Tap Track will only need to bring one costume opMon (specified below).

MINI MOVERS The Mini Movers level is designed as an introducKon to the dance convenKon experience for ages four to six years old. All dancers will receive one complimentary Observer band for Mini Movers classes ONLY and a piece of personalized ASH merchandise! Mini Movers classes will include: Musical Theatre, Tap, Hip Hop and Jazz! Get ready to MOVE Mini Movers!

TEACHERS Teacher Training Seminars : ASH’s energizing and moKvaKng teacher training seminars with the ASH Faculty that are exciKng, informaKve and interacKve. They will leave you feeling inspired and refreshed, don’t miss out! Margaritas & Mambos : Join ASH Faculty Member, Alan Bersten for a fun hour of Margaritas & Mambos! All Teachers will meet in the Heritage Park Ballroom, for a margarita (on us!) followed by mambos with Alan! Open CompeMMon : Teachers and Studio Owners will have priority reserved seaKng in the first two rows. Teacher Cocktail Party : Registered Teachers and/or Studio Owners are welcome to join the ASH Faculty on Wednesday, July 7th at 6PM for the Teacher Cocktail Party!

PARENTS Parents, it’s Kme to show off your moves! Join us on Monday, July 5th at 11:30AM for a fun hip hop class! All acendees must be a registered observer to acend.

MASK POLICY Masks will be required to be worn by all individuals in the event area at all Kmes (including Workshop Classes, Welcome Show, Dance Party and Gala!). Vaccinated individuals may not be required to wear masks in other areas of hotel property, please see The Omni Resort’s policies for exact details.

OPEN COMPETITION The solo, duet/trio and group compeKKon will be held on Friday, July 2nd, Saturday, July 3rd and Sunday, July 4th. Each performance will be criKqued and given a score. SOLO COMPETITION: The solo compeKKon will be conducted in two rounds. The top ten scoring solos in the ArKsts In Training (Ages 7-11), Junior (Ages 12-14) and Senior (Ages 15+) age divisions will advance to round two for an improv porKon of the compeKKon to be held Tuesday, July 6th at 4PM. Each semi-finalist will be given one minute to improv. The top three finalists from each age division will be announced and awarded a cash prize during the Scholarship Announcements on Wednesday, July 7th at 1PM. The top scoring solo in each age division will be invited to perform their solo in the gala on Wednesday, July 7th. DUET/TRIO AND GROUP COMPETITION: The top three scoring duets/trios and top three scoring group dances will be announced at the Scholarship Announcements on Wednesday, July 7th, and will be awarded a cash prize. CriKques and scores will be available for download via your online Studio or Independent registraKon account. Please review the program order and contact the ASH Office immediately if you have any quesKons or change requests. There will be strict adherence to the compeKKon order, please be ready to perform when scheduled. Music must be uploaded to your registraKon online account by Friday, June 25th. Please Note: Acendance is free of charge to view the Open CompeKKon and Improv Round of the solo compeKKon, however you must wear a mask in the ballroom. The Open CompeKKon and Improv Round will be broadcast live at www.ASHWebcast.com.

ADJUDICATED SCORING BREAKDOWN Solos, duets/trios and groups will be judged based on the following criteria in the open compeKKon:

STUDIO OF THE YEAR COMPETITION Preliminary Round : All eligible studios will perform all required rouKnes in the open compeKKon. Studios may enter more rouKnes than the minimum number required, however only the top 10 scoring solos or duets/trios, 5 small groups, large groups or producKons, will be counted towards the overall score. The combined scores of the required rouKnes will determine the top studios to move on to the Semi-Final round. Semi-Final Round (Studio of the Year Dance Off) - Tuesday, July 6th at 6PM: Studio of the Year finalists Director(s) and/or Teacher(s) ONLY must acend a meeKng on Monday, July 5th at 10:15AM. All finalists will re-perform their 2 top scoring solos or duet/trios, 3 small groups, large groups or producKons to be scored by our Guest Judges. Winner Announcement : During the Gala on Wednesday, July 7th, each studio that reached the Semi-Final round will re-perform their top scoring group or producKon. This performance will not be scored. The Studio of the Year Winner, 1st Runner Up and Second Runner Up will be announced at the Gala. (All Studio of the Year finalists will have reserved seaKng at the Gala.)

PLEASE NOTE: The $10,000, $5,000 or $2,500 winnings encompasses all Open CompeKKon prize money. The Studio of the Year Winner and Finalists will forfeit all other winnings from the Open CompeKKon.

THE GALA The Gala performance will be held on Wednesday, July 7th at 8PM. Get ready for an evening jam packed with incredible performances including ASH Faculty, the 2020/2021 ASH Assistants, ASH: The Company, solo open compeKKon winners, theCOMPANY Intensive performances, Studio of the Year Finalists, Guest Performances and the Closing Number featuring our 20/21 ASH ApprenKces and ApprenKce Runner Ups. The red carpet will be held in the lobby outside of the Intermediate Ballroom from 7PM-8PM. Doors will open for the Gala at 7:30PM, an ASH Staff Member will be at the door to collect your Gala Kcket. You MUST have your Kcket to enter the ballroom. A cash bar will be open during the Red Carpet & Gala for acendees ages 21+.

A`re is semi-formal/ formal for all dancers and audience members.

Gala Tickets: The Gala is a Kcketed event, all dancers and audiences members will need a Kcket to acend. You can purchase Gala Kckets or VIP tables at www.ASHGala.com. Gala Ockets are limited, and will SELL OUT! Please stop by the Merchandise booth at any point throughout the event to pick up your Gala Kcket.

The Gala will be live-streamed at www.ASHWebcast.com.
