Purdue has just fi ve upperclassmen on the roster, and just three of them have played minutes at Pur-due, as Carter and Peck are fi fth-year transfers.

This year’s roster has 12 players from the state of Indi-ana, the most in school history. In Painter’s nine years, he has had at least six Indiana natives each year.

Eight of Purdue’s 15 players stand at least 6-5. Seven of the players weigh at least 200 pounds.

Purdue can lay claim to being Indiana’s team as 80 percent of its roster (12-of-15 players) hails from the State of Indiana. Only Charlotte (13-of-17 players from North Carolina), Georgia Tech (14-of-18 players from Georgia) and Milwaukee (13-of-19 players from Wis-consin) can lay claim to having more players from one state than Purdue’s 12.
