1. Valve Manager Details

1.1 Click the New Customer icon

Notes:

The Valve Manager screen is the location where you will create and organize valves.

To begin, click the “New Customer” icon to create a customer.

1.2 Enter the customer's name

Notes:

Enter the customer name and contact information on the Customer screen.

The Customer Name is the only required field. You can add and edit the information later if needed.

1.3 Click Save

Click “Save” to continue.

1.4 Click the New Project icon

Notes:

Next, create a project by clicking the “New Project” icon.

The valve records will be organized into projects under each customer name.

The customer and project organizational structure will be exported with the valve records, when you export the

records to collaborate with others.

1.5 Enter a project name

Notes:

Fill in the applicable project information.

The information you enter will be the default information for all valve records you subsequently create in this

project.

The required fields are “Project Name”, “Industry”, and “Process”.

Make other selections and fill in other information as needed.

1.10 Click Save

Click “Save” to continue.

1.11 Click the Edit Project icon

The “Edit Project” option enables you to edit or update the project information.

Similarly, the “Edit Customer” option allows you to update the customer information.

1.12 Make necessary changes

Notes:

Any changes will take effect on all new valves records created after the change.

Changes to the project defaults will not effect valves that were created before the changes.

Make all changes necessary.

1.13 Click Save

Notes:

Click “Save” to save changes or “Cancel” to discard your changes.

1.14 Click the New icon

Now that the customer and project structure is created, you are ready to create the valve records.

Click the “New” icon to create a new valve record.

1.15 Select the valve model

Notes:

Select the valve model from the valve model screen.

The grid on the screen provides general information about the available sizes and pressure classes for each valve

model. It also identifies the manufacturing locations that build each product.

Your Flowserve sales rep or applications engineer can provide you with details on each product and manufacturing

location. If needed, you will be able to change to a different model later.

The valve options screen is auto populated with the information from the project screen.

Enter the specific tag information and modify the other fields as required to meet the customer specifications.

1.22 Enter unique P&ID and tag information

Notes:

The quantity button allows you to enter unique P&ID and tag information to differentiate between duplicate valves.

After entering the differences, click OK to continue.

1.25 Mark the box

Notes:

After a valve is created, you are ready to perform other actions such a sizing, selection, printing, etc.

Selecting the box to the left of the line will activate these functions.

Notes:

Click the Print icon to access the print dialog.

1.27 Click Generate Booklet

Notes:

On the Print Menu, select the documents you want to print, and then click “Generate Booklet” to create a PDF of the

documents.

For this demonstration, we will opt to cancel rather than print.

Notes:

The “Copy” option enables you to copy the selected valve record(s).

You can copy the valve records into the same location or into a different customer or project location.

1.30 Edit as necessary

Notes:

The valve settings auto populate from the original record.

Edit the valve record settings if desired and click OK to continue.

1.32 Click Show Filter

Notes:

The “Show Filter” box activates a wide range of filters that will allow you to quickly search through large projects.
