1. INTRODUCTION

Patrachar Vidyalaya is the pioneer institution in the field of correspondenceeducation at school level in the region of GNCT of Delhi. It was established inJanuary 1968 with the sole p,urpose of opening new vistas of education for thedrop-outs, 10th pass and 11 h failures or pass students and those belonging toweaker sections of society who could not continue their educational facilities dueto some constraint. Student belonging to following categories mainly seekadmission in Patrachar Vidyalaya:1. Those who are residing in Delhi (Proof of residence in Delhi is required).2. To Jawans posted in the border regions.3. Wards of Indian National residing abroad and working in India Missions.4. Drop outs (Male and Female)

The Vidyalaya runs under aegis of Directorate of Education GNCT of Delhiand fiscal control of the Directorate of Education, Delhi. The Director orEducation, Gov!. of NeT, Delhi has the right to modify the rules and regulationsregarding admissions or withholding the candidature of any student if considersnecessary. His decisions cannot be challenged. All the disputes and court casesbe settled in Delhi Courts only. An icon of the Patrachar Vidyalava is alsocreated on the Home page of Directorate website i.e. www.edudel.nic.in

This school is not proving the facilities like Concessional OTC Bus Pass,issuance of Character Certificate etc.

5. EXAMINATION BODY:

Patrachar Vidyalaya prepares students for Secondary and SeniorSecondary School Certificate Examinations (X, XI, XII Classes) of the CentralBoard of Secondary Education, Delhi in all the three streams viz, Humanities,Commerce and Science.

6. STUDY MATERIAL:

The Vidyalaya supplies the study-material only for those students who areenrolled in Patrachar Vidyalaya in the shape of printed lessons on all the subjectsto supplement the study for text books and to help students to grasp the subjectcontents in the each subject. Available study material based on CBSE syllabuswill be supplied to the students free of cost.

Students are advised to collect/ receive personally their study materialsfrom Patrachar Vidyalaya, BL Block Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-88.

7. CLASSES (PCP & REMEDIAL CUM PRACTICAL PRACTICE CLASSES(25 DAYS EACH):

Besides providing printed lessons in the form of books/ booklet theVidyalaya organizes Personal Contract Program/remedial/practical practiceclasses from January onwards on Sunday and during Autumn Break! WinterBreak for all the classes as per the directions of CBSE. Students are advised toattend these classes along with their Patrachar I. Card. No. i. e. I-card. Sciencestudents are regularly given coaching in our well equipped' labs. Students mustattend regular practical at the venue fixed for these classes. Alternativearrangement for practical classes may be done at the Science Centers/ schoolsrunning under the Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT, Delhi. Minimumattendance required to appear in the Board Exam is 75%.

Note: Schedulel Venue can be changed as per availability.

8 ADMISSION PROCEDURES:

Students seeking admission to Class X or XII should fill in Admission Formwith passport Size Black & White photograph with computerized name of thecandidate affixed on it and attested by the Head of the School lastattended/Gazetted Officer and submit it along with all relevant documents/papers at the Vidyalaya admission counter from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM onMonday to Friday. Incomplete admission form shall be treated as cancelled andthe admission fee shall be forfeited. Students should confirm his/her admissionpersonally from Patrachar Vidyalaya.

Patrachar Vidyalaya will give provisional admission and issueacknowledgement for enrolimenU P.v. No. The admission will remain provisionaltill the time it is confirmed by Patrachar Vidyalaya, after verification of documentsenclosed along with the admission form.

ELIGIBILITY: CLASS X

a) Those student Malel Female who have passed/failed in VIII class oneyear before (At least One year gap)from a Govt./Govl. Aidedl recognizedschool or failed in class IX are also eligible for class X admission (1ath

failure candidates are directed to obtain form from Syndicate Bank orCBSE and submit after verification from the concerned/last attendedschool's HaS.

ORThose students (Male & Female) who have studied up to Class IXPrivately, can seek admissions on the basis of affidavit as annexed in theprospectus.

b) The candidate must have completed 14 years of age as on 31st March ofthe year in which the student is seeking admission.

Note: Patrachar Vidyalaya students who have failed in X class exam mayget their exam form verified from the Patrachar Vidyalaya. They need notget admission again.

Class XI:a) Students must have passed Matriculationl High Schooll Secondary School

Examation from a recognized Boardl University or any other equivalentexamination.

Promotion of Class - XI Students to Class - XII (P. V.)

Students of Class XI are promoted to Class XII on the basis of theirperformance based on response sheets. They must deposit their response sheetof the assignments given by the Vidyalaya to the students in all the subjectslatest by 31" December, of the year of admission and, if they fail to do so, theythemselves will be responsible for the loss of one precious academic year of theirlife. Students who get promoted to Class XII will fill in application form foradmission in Class XII. Such students are eligible for Admission in PatracharVidyalaya only. They shall not claim their XI class passes SLC. Such studentsshall not be eligible for admission in class XII in any Govt.lGovt. Aided I

rRecognized school and any other school of any state. Students are advised tocollect personally their questions for assignments from Patrachar Vidyalaya, BL-Block, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-88.

Eligibility for Admission in Class - XII

(a) Those students (Male & Female) who have passed/failed in class XI or itsequivalent examination from recognized /Board/University.

ORThose students (Male & Female) may seek admission directly to class XIIhaving atleast one year gap after passing class X exam, from recognizedBoard or failed in Class XI on the basis of original SLC duly countersignedby Education Officer/Competent authority.

(b) Students who have failed in class XI or equivalent examination from arecognized Board/ University are eligible for admission to Class XII andcan opt for stream change (de-grade only i.e. Xlth Commercefai/ed/passed students' can opt for Commerce or Arts Stream, suchstudents are not eligible to opt Science Stream) as per instructionsof CaSE ..

(c) Students seeking admission in class XII on the basis of duplicate copy ofSLC duly countersigned by the Education Officer/Competent authoritymust furnish AFFIDAVIT in the prescribed format annexed with theprospectus.

Note: 1. However, Patrachar Vidyalaya students who have failed in XII class mayappear directly to CBSE as private candidate and thelr exam forms shallbe verified by Patrachar Vidyalaya.

2. Students of Vocational Course are not eligible to enroll in anydiscipline offered in Patrachar Vidyalaya.

10 Cancellation of Admission

Admission of a student will be cancelled without any further intimationunder the following condition'-

o If the admission form is incomplete.o If the fee paid in Short.o If the supporting documents are not complete.o If required educational qualification is not fulfilled.o If the minimum are criteria is not fulfilled.o If the incorrect or wrong information is giveno If the secondary examination is not passed from a recognized board.

o If the form received by post and consists of any of the above mentioneddiscrepancy.

11 Fees:

Admission fee must be paid only through the Challan form annexed withthe prospectus in any nearby branch of State Bank of India, at Delhi.

Students will deposit personally their examination fees in PatracharVidyalaya, BL Block, Shalimar Bagh Delhi-88. Examination fee will be paid incash by the candidate w.e.f 01.09.2014 as per schedule of CBSE. No separateintimation will be communicated in this regard
