FOAM RUPTURE DISC 07 CO SERIES 30 o ANGULAR SERIES FOR SUB SURFACE FOAM INJECTION SYSTEM General Information The composite preformed Rupture Discs are constructed of two or more components. Designed for use in subsurface foam injection systems. The Progard-Oseco rupture disc consists of a metallic top section (precision cut to control the burst pressure), a teflon seal (fitted to the concave side of the top section) and a vacuum support. The disc will provide instantaneous full opening when pressure is applied. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 07 CO Rupture Disc The Progard-Oseco basic rupture disc consists of a slotted metal top section, with a teflon seal and a metal vacuum support installed on the process side of the top section. The metal top section controls the burst pressure and the seal isolates the top section from the process media and also prevents leakage. The 30 o angular seat design is available in sizes ranging from 11/16" through 24” and burst ratings as low as 3 psi. The manufacturing range is defined as the allowable pressure range within which a rupture disc is rated. It is based on the burst pressure specified by the customer. General InformationThe composite preformed Rupture Discs areconstructed of two or more components.Designed for use in subsurface foam injectionsystems.

The Progard-Oseco rupture disc consists of ametallic top section (precision cut to control theburst pressure), a teflon seal (fitted to theconcave side of the top section) and a vacuumsupport. The disc will provide instantaneous fullopening when pressure is applied.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION07 CO Rupture DiscThe Progard-Oseco basic rupture disc consistsof a slotted metal top section, with a teflon sealand a metal vacuum support installed on theprocess side of the top section. The metal top section controls the burstpressure and the seal isolates the top sectionfrom the process media and also preventsleakage.

The 30o angular seat design is available in sizesranging from 11/16" through 24 and burstratings as low as 3 psi. The manufacturing range is defined as theallowable pressure range within which a rupturedisc is rated. It is based on the burst pressurespecified by the customer.

After the rupture disc has been manufacturedand tested, it is stamped with the rated burstpressure, The rated burst pressure isestablished by bursting a minimum of tworupture discs and averaging the pressures atwhich the rupture discs burst. This average isthe rated (stamped) burst pressure proof of therupture disc.

The top section is manufactured with a six holepattern at the apex of the rupture disc dome. This six hole pattern, along with the six precutsections, provide a non-fragmenting designwhen used with a teflon or non-metallic seal.

  • 07 CO Insert HoldersThe insert holders are 30o seat holder that boltbetween and fits within the bolting pattern ofstandard ANSI companion pipe flanges.

Insert holders are furnished with pre-assembledscrews and side clips for bench assembly.Installation of the holder is easy, as only half ofthe companion flange bolts need to be removedentirely in order to remove the assembly forrupture disc replacement.

The insert holders are available in nominal sizesranging from 1 through 12 to mate with ANSIbolting classes 150#. Standard materials ofconstruction include carbon steel, 304 or 316stainless steel.
