    CITRONEN BASE METAL PROJECT EIA SUBMITTED

    Ironbark Zinc Limited (Ironbark) is pleased to announce that it has completed and submitted theEnvironmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to the Bureau of Minerals and Petroleum of Greenland(BMP) for the Citronen base metal project.

    Ironbark and its environmental consultant, Orbicon AS, have worked extensively with the BMP and

    its advisors over the last three years to ensure that the EIA meets the highest standards of

    environmental sustainability and addresses all of the concerns of the regulators. All supporting

    testwork including extensive Humidity Cell Test-work, three environmental base line surveys and

    Scoping Level Environmental Review Assessment (SLERA) has been completed. The EIA is

    subject to a final and public review process during the final submission of all elements of the

    completed Feasibility Study and Mineral Exploitation license application.

    Commenting on the results, Ironbark Managing Director Jonathan Downes said:

    We are excited to see the completion of this major milestone which is the culmination of anenormous amount of work delivered to the BMP for final review. The EIA is a critical element of theFeasibility Study and shows that the Citronen base metal mine will be one of the mostenvironmentally sound operations in the world. We remain focused on delivering one of the largestzinc mines in the world to our shareholders as quickly as possible. The Citronen project is currentlybeing evaluated by China Nonferrous Metal Industrys Foreign Engineering and

    Construction Co. Ltd (NFC) for final engineering and construction which will also see thecompletion of the Capital Cost section of the Feasibility Study.

    ABOUT IRONBARK

    Ironbark is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and is seeking to become a base metalmining house. Ironbark has a US$50M funding facility provided by Glencore International AG.

    Ironbark seeks to build shareholder value through exploration and development of its projects andalso seeks to actively expand the project base controlled by Ironbark. The management and boardof Ironbark have extensive technical and corporate experience in the minerals sector.

    The wholly owned Citronen base metal project currently hosts in excess of 13.1 Billion pounds ofzinc (Zn) and lead (Pb).
