FHA Loan Cost Increasing
Upfront MI increasing:
1.00% to 1.75% effective April 1st.
Annual MI increase:
Loans up to $625,500 From 1.15% to 1.25% effective April 1st
Loans over $625,500 From 1.15% to 1.50% effective June 1st
With a good credit score and 5% down, conventional loans with either monthly or upfront
mortgage insurance will be a more attractive option. Please keep this in mind when working
with clients.

Staff Spotlight: Jim Casamento
Jim Casamento started with RE/MAX Allegiance in the fall of 2000, maintaining 4 office
locations. He began working part time while teaching in the Alexandria City School System.
Jim began his full time duties with RE/MAX Horizons and RE/MAX Capitol in 2001 and now
maintains all office locations.
Jim graduated from Kent State University and holds a BS degree in Education. In his spare
time he volunteers and coaches for West Springfield Little League. Jim lives in the
Springfield, VA area with his wife and 2 sons.
