Self Defence Activities
Jiu-Jitsu Karate Jiu-Jitsu Karate is an all ages, all abilities class that promotes fitness, fun,
self-defence and self confidence.
It combines Judo, Karate and Aikido, along with its own unique
characteristics to either control an attacker until help arrives, or to ‘disturb
their balance and equilibrium’ to such an extent that you will be able to walk
away unharmed.
Contact: Alan Muir on 0427 947 004
Brazilian JIU-JITSU Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a fun and gentle martial arts class for children aged
five to twleve years old. It promotes balance, reflexes and flexibility
employing gymnastic type excercies to build core strength, self discipline
and healthy attitudes to mind and body.
Contact: Richard Graham on 0459 949 247
Aikido AIKIDO with Ki is primarily a defensive art. It teaches calmness, self control
and understanding, which develops a calm and clear mind.
Its philosophy teaches how to be in harmony with your partner rather than
being in conflict with them. Students learn to “lead” another person’s
energies through movement and self-control in a non-violent manner.
Classes are currently for six to 10 year-olds, however classes will be
available for adults or younger children given enough demand. Contact

Commercial Jazz is a highly choreographed and intense dance form. This
class will suit dancers with some experience wanting to gain a fresh and
fierce look into the world of commercial dance! It features a mixture of
sharp and fluid movements and animated expression similar to dances
seen on commercial video clips. This stylized combination of street funk,
hip hop, pop and jazz is similar to styles seen in music videos for Beyonce,
Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, One Direction, Justice Crew, Iggy Azalea,
Havanna Brown and other pop artists!
Instructor: Georgie Martin
Hip Hop Hybrid This is a hybrid Hip Hop class incorporating a number of different high
energy styles. It is unique in that it allows its dancers to perform with
freedom of movement, adding in their own personalities. You will be
dancing to music from popular artists such as Beyonce, Rhianna, Kesha, T-
Pain and Usher. This is a style anyone can learn and no prior training is
necessary. If you find you naturally love to dance, this is the style for you!
Refine your skills and chase that feeling of mastering a routine. That’s what
we are all addicted to here at the PCYC, feeling comfortable & letting
yourself go!!!
