TodayNursery: The Nursery is available downstairs for children (newborn–age 3) during the morning service.

Children’s Church (ages 4-8) meets today. Teachers and helpers will be in the lobby area to meet you.

Two Offerings: During this coming week, please prepare your heart to hear the Lord’s direction on how He would want you to give for the two offerings next Sunday. The first one will be directed toward our Local Operating Budget (LOB), and the second Benevolence offering will go to CareNet/Life Choices ministry. Thank you for being a prayerful and generous church body!

Communion: Today we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper together. We welcome you

to the table, whether you are a member or visitor, if you have searched your heart and can make the following statements:

• I recognize that I am a sinner and I am genuinely sorry for all my sins.

• I trust in Jesus Christ as my only Savior and Lord, and I earnestly desire to live my life in obedience to him.

• I have made public profession of faith in Jesus Christ, and I am a member in good standing of His church.

Cookie Social: We will enjoy our monthly cookie

social after the morning service. Thanks to those of you who brought treats to share.

Congregational Vote - Women in OfficeThe Council will be bringing the following motion to the congregation for official vote

on Sunday, April 10:We open all offices in the church to everyone gifted to serve—both male and female.

Because of the importance of this issue, the Council has determined that this motion will only be approved by a super-majority of 67%. The Council is offering one last opportunity for discussion on this issue preceding the vote:

Today, April 3 - Formal meeting following the service in the Sanctuary

If you are unable to attend the official vote on April 10, you may send an absentee ballot to the Church Office on or before that date. Absentee ballots are available in the Foyer, and must be accompanied by a signature either on the ballot or the containing envelope. Please pray for God’s wisdom and guidance as we consider this issue as a church body.

GEMS Leaders NeededImagine this ... sharing your love for God by developing significant relationships with energetic girls who love Him too!

GEMS is looking for godly mentors to nurture, teach, guide, enjoy, and model Christ-like love for our girls. Please contact the Church Office for more information or to sign up for this dynamic ministry.

AnnouncementsAttention all ladies! The Deacons are planning a great event for all the women in our church. Not only will we enjoy awesome food, fun and fellowship

with each other—this is designed to be an outreach event so you can invite guests to come with you.

Saturday, April 16 1:00 p.m. Multi-Purpose Room

We will have a guest speaker, and also plan a surprise or two! This will be a fun opportunity for women of all ages to get to know each other better and establish new relationships.

Please RSVP with the Church Office to let us know how many will be in your party. There is also an RSVP box located in the Foyer for your convenience. Hope to see you there!

Directory UpdateJohn Katte, a former member of our church, will be turning 90 years old on April 23.

He now lives alone in Sequim, and would love to hear from folks at First CRC.

You may contact the Church Office to get his address and telephone number.

First Christian Reformed Church of Seattle is a gospel and grace-centered community learning how to follow Jesus. We belong to a broader community called The Christian Reformed Church. What does this mean?

We call ourselves… Christian… Because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be his followers. Reformed… Because we’re part of the historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation, who struggled to return Christianity to its biblical roots. Church… Because God has called us to be a fellowship of his people in the world.
