RE/MAX Premier Broker Meeting

I am in Chicago meeting with the most successful RE/MAX brokers in North America. Be

info from the meeting:

- CDPE: You all should know about the Citi short sale initiative by now. RE/MAX is

negotiating with other banks to bring you more leads. Get your CDPE to be eligible!. It is

- Convention Discount: Because I am attending this meeting, all Allegiance Associates will

receive half off the early bird registration fee for the 2012 RE/MAX Convention to be held in

March in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay.

Kingstowne Office Closing

We received an unsolicited offer from a neighboring tenant that we could not refuse and the

Kingstowne office will close on Friday, May 6. Associates assigned to that office were

informed earlier in the week. Staff affected by the closure will be reassigned to other duties.

Other office closings are not anticipated.

Are You on MARS?

Working with short sales? You’ll want to read about the new the Mortgage Assistance Relief

Services (MARS) Rule that took effect earlier this year. Depending on certain factors, the

MARS rules may require you to make certain disclosures to consumers if you negotiate a

short sale with a lender, advertise short sales experience, or take upfront fees from short

sale sellers. This is important as the penalty for noncompliance is huge.

CRS Class

So far, only a couple of you have registered for the CRS class to be held next month. Price

goes up May 1 and, more importantly, we need a good sized group to hold the class.
