Airport worker: Hello, ma’am. I’d be happy to help you. Where do you need to go?
Hannah: Well, I just checked in and received my boarding pass, but I’m having trouble finding my gate.
Airport worker: Your gate number should be on your boarding pass. Did you look at it carefully?
Hannah: Yes, but I can’t find the gate number anywhere. Maybe they forgot to put it on my boarding pass.
Airport worker: That’s odd. If you’ll wait a moment, I can find out what your gate number is. Do you know your flight number?
Hannah: Yes. Just give me a second to find it. There it is. It’s flight number 553.
Airport worker: The gate for flight number 553 is G8. Just go straight, and it should be on your right.

Tara: Don’t forget we still have to go through airport security and find our gate. This airport is huge, and I don’t even know what number our gate is.
Jay: Okay, no problem. We’ll figure it out. Look! There is the security checkpoint. It’s not very far away. We aren’t going to miss our flight, honey – I promise.
Tara: Yes, maybe you’re right. Thank goodness the line is short. I still feel anxious though. I would feel a lot better if we left the café now. I mean, what if our gate is far away?
Jay: Honey, everything is going to be all right. But just to make sure, I’m going to ask someone where our gate is. We’re going to make it on time.

You’re all packed and ready to go on the vacation of your dreams. The only thing between you and some fun in the sun is the airport. Here are three suggestions to get you to your destination as quickly as possible.
1) Arrive early — There is nothing worse than arriving at the airport only to find a massive pile-up at the security station. Make sure you get to the airport a couple of hours before your flight.
2) Plan for a carry-on security screening — Don’t bring objects through the carry-on screening unless it is essential that you do so. Many things, such as fluids, are better left in your checked baggage.
3) Plan ahead for a body scanning — Everyone is going to have a body scan. Remember that anything metallic will set the alarm off, so you might not want to wear a belt or jewelry. Additionally, make sure you don’t have any change in your pockets.
