Credit for skills and past studyIf you have completed study with another university or institution and believe youare eligible to receive credit for skills and past study, you can apply for advancedstanding.
Applications for advanced standing can be made after a discussion with yourcourse coordinator or academic adviser.
This qualification covers workers in a range of work roles who provide assistance tohealth professional staff with the care of clients. Health Services Assistanceinvolves the worker in direct client contact under supervision.
This qualification has been structured with elective groups for specific workfunctions in operating theatre support and assisting in nursing work in acute care.In addition the qualification supports multi-skilling requirements of smaller andrural/remote work settings.
To qualify for the Certificate III in Health Services Assistance participants mustsuccessfully complete a total of 15 units of study, comprising of 6 core units and 9elective units in accordance with the packaging rules specified in HLT07 HealthTraining Package and the University's approval.
