Scouter's Training Award - Basic Training and other requirements. Various requirements, depending on the program and position.

Scouter's Key - Three years tenure and other requirements - Commissioners, Scoutmasters, Venturing Advisors, and others.

Unit Leader's Award of Merit - Earned by Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, Varsity Team Coaches, and Venturing Crew Advisors meeting the requirements on form 512-003. This award replaces the Scoutmaster, Varsity Coach, and Venturing Advisor's Awards of Merit, which will no longer be awarded.

George Meany Award - Presented to labor union members who have been unusually effective in giving leadership to youth.

Whitney Young Jr. Award - Presented for promoting Scouting in the poorest areas of the country.

Premio por Servicio ¡Scouting…Vale la Pena! Service Award - to recognize outstanding services by an adult individual or an organization for demonstrated involvement in the development and implementation of Scouting opportunities for Hispanic American/Latino youth.

Asian American Spirit of Scouting Service Award - to recognize outstanding services by an adult individual or an organization for demonstrated involvement in the development and implementation of Scouting opportunities for Asian American youth.

Order of the Arrow Distinguished Service Award - The National Order of the Arrow committee presents the Distinguished Service Award to those Arrowmen who have rendered outstanding service to the Order on a sectional, area, regional, or national basis.

William T. Hornaday Award - Recognizes Scouts, Explorers and Scouters for conservation and ecology efforts in their communities.

William H. Spurgeon III Award - Presented to Scouters rendering distinguished service to Exploring

District Award of Merit - Presented to Scouters at the District level for unusual dedication and service.

James West Fellowship Award - Worn by those honored for their personal donation of a minimum of $1000 to a local Council Endowment Fund, or honored by others with such a donation

William D. Boyce New-Unit Organizer Award - Worn by those honored for starting a new unit.

BSA Speakers Bank - (Discontinued - Was presented to registered speakers who conducted a minimum of 20 speeches and provided feedback.)

World Organization of ScoutingBronze Wolf

SUPPORT OF SCOUTING AWARDS

The Bronze Wolf is awarded to an individual in recognition of outstanding services to International Scouting. The award was instituted by the then 'International Committee' at their meeting in Stockholm on 2 August 1935 which unanimously awarded the first Bronze Wolf to the Chief Scout of the World, Lord Baden-Powell.

There were 7 awards in 2012.

Unit Volunteer Scouter Requirements

Do any three of the following:

• Develop an emergency preparedness program plan and kit for your home and be sure all family members know the plan.

• Participate actively in preparing an emergency plan of action for your Scouting unit meeting place. (This includes all locations where you might have a meeting.)

• Put together a unit emergency kit to be kept at your unit meeting location. (This includes all locations where you might have a meeting.)

• Take a basic first aid/CPR course, or participate as an active volunteer in a community agency responsible for disaster preparedness.

Council/District Volunteer Scouter Requirements

Do any three of the following:

BSA International Activity Badge

The International Activity badge (#00144) is a 3-inch diameter patch which is worn as a TEMPORARY EMBLEM on the right pocket of the Scout or Scouter to recognize participation in unit, council, and world scouting international activities. It is NOT worn in place of or alongside the World Crest emblem. There is also a 5-inch jacket patch (#00145) available for authorized wear

Each local Council has the authority to determine requirements for the patch. There is no time restriction for earning the International activity patch.

BSA International Youth Exchange

• Participate for at least five days in a group exchange program, visiting a Scout group in another nation. This visit can involve home hospitality, joint camping with the host group, or another joint activity.

• Participate for at least five days in a group exchange program, hosting a Scout group from another nation in your community.* This can involve home hospitality, joint camping with the guest group, or another joint activity.

• Plan activities, as both host and guest, that will provide both parties opportunities to learn about each other's countries, cultures, and Scout associations.

• Exchange groups must be at least patrols or crews of six to eight Scouts or Venturers with two adult leaders.

Youth and Adult members may wear this strip if they show their knowledge of a foreign language or sign language by:• Carrying on a 5-minute conversation in this language.• Translating a 2-minute speech or address.• Writing a letter in the language (Does not apply for sign

language)• Translating 200 words or more from the written word.

Adult awards are not earned like youth awards: An outside party must nominate an adult to receive an award by submitting the requiredapplications, letter of recommendation, and resume of activities.  Self and spouse nominations will not be accepted.Adult recognitions are given to adults for outstanding service to youth through both their church and one of the national youth-serving agencies (Boy Scouts of America, Camp Fire USA, Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., American Heritage Girls).

Bronze Pelican - used to recognize individuals in your local dioceses for their significant contributions.Brother Barnabas - national recognition to recognize for long and meritorious service. (not pictured)Golden AAD - a fund used to directly support the ministry of our priest chaplains who serve on the Executive Board. Significant contributions of $2,500 or more are recognized by a special medal.Jerusalem Cross - used to recognize Scouting in the Catholic Church participants who return to their dioceses and complete a mission project benefiting Catholic youth of their community.

Silver St. George - national recognition for the hard work and diligent hours supporting the Catholic Youth Ministry at the national level.Spes Mundi - a fund used to directly support the International Catholic Conference of Scouting. Significant contributions of $2,500 or more are recognized by a special medal.St. George - used to recognize individuals in your local dioceses for their significant contributions and many years of support for the Catholic Youth Ministry at the local level. Adult Leaders are entitled to wear the BSA Adult Religious Knot if they receive the St. George recognition.
