The May Allocations (1)
CFC Decision Status
Guinea: Of the $117.8m allocated in 2007 – cancel $53.8m, UNICEF to implement $24m; remaining $40m pending outcome of elections
$53.8m cancelled, $24m transferred to UNICEF in September. Elections held November 8.
Ethiopia: $98m approved; WB as SE
Grant agreement signed in July
Lao PDR: $30m approved; WB as SE
Grant agreement signed August; $2m disbursed
Malawi: $90m approved; WB as SE Grant agreement with MoF for signature.

Togo: $45m approved; WB as SE; grant agreement required to include clause allowing for partial cancellation if implementation lags.
Grant signed October 2010. Grant agreement includes provision for cancellation if implementation milestones are not met.
Liberia: $40m approved; WB as SE. elections
Grant agreement signed in September. Some conditions of grant effectiveness not met. Effectiveness target date is early December.
Djibouti: $4m one year bridge funding approved.
