The Ancillary NOCs (ANOCs) as formed above have been assigned with the role and

responsibilities as listed in Annexure-A. These ancillary NOCs will report to Deputy Directors (IS),

National Data Centre, Dwarka. The logistic support and pay & allowances shall be extended by the

respective field Offices. DPAs posted in respective Regional/ Sub-Regional offices will report to the

AD (IS)/ team leader of the respective ANOCs for technical work .

Annexure - A

Role and responsibilities of Ancillary NOCs

a. Act as level-1 System Administrator to handle the tasks of GNOCin case of exigencies.

b. Act as Field Offices Security Administrator.

i. Will support the Security Audit Team in conducting the quarterly technical audit of

Hardware equipment at EPFO Field offices.

ii . Routine technical inspection of hardware/software/network of group of field offices

to ensure that the configurations are as per the uniform architecture and to eliminate

non-standard add-ons like unmanaged switches.

iii. Ensure password retention/expiry policies are followed.

iv. Provide advisory for local hardware/software procurements including managed

switches and its implementation.

v. Ensure antivirus software is implemented and its updates are enabled in the Desktop

Laptops.

c. Support to GNOC team for implementation of any change/ refinement in the present setup or

during DR drill / DR activity.

d. Act as level 1 support for issue resolution of Application software bugs/issues/enhancement to the

group of Field Offices and escalate only refined requirements to development team, NDC.

e. Act as level-1 Network Administrator of group of Field Offices. They will handle the following

activiti es:-

i) Monitor the bandwidth of MPLS lines (BSNL/RAILTEL) through tools provided by service

providers and esca lates issue to the local service providers along with GNOC.

ii) Management of routers of group of field offices with local technical staff

(EPFO/UTIITSL) and escalate the issue to GNOC.

iii) Management of L3/ L2 switches of group of field offices with local technical staff

(EPFO/ UTIITSL) and escalate the issue to GNOC.

iv) Resolution of conflict in network related to thin clients.

v) Supervision ofactivit ies ofoutsourced Network Engineer.

f . Act as level-1 Database Administrator of group of PDBs. They will handle the following

activities:-

i Act as level-1 Database Administrator of group of PDBs. They will handle the following activities:-

(i) PDB wise local oracle user for Assistant Director heading the ANOC will be provided

from GNOC.

(ii) Access to Database for execution of script will be provided by GNOC.

(iii) Execute database scripts for extraction/ insertion of data into PDBs as directed by

National Data Centre.

(iv) Handle the data related issues in Application Software to a group of Field Offices by

using SQL developer.

(v) Monitor and escalate the requirement of additional physical space for database files

of PDBs to GNOC.

(vi) Monitoring and management of Audit data.

Act as technical trainer trained by master trainer of Head Office and provide support in

organizing user/ employer training to the group of Field Offices it is handling.

g. Act as technical testing team for testing of changes made by the development team at NDC.

h. Act as Modular Research and Development centers with each ANOC specialized in areas like

Mongo DB, Open Shift, Open Cloud, Postgress and other open source solutions.

i. Act as EPFO Suvidha Center for Unified Portal.
