The present invention relates to a process for the production of chlorine dioxide, said process comprising the steps of continuously: (a) feeding to a reactor (1) an acid, alkali metal chlorate and a reducing agent; (b) reacting the alkali metal chlorate with the acid and the reducing agent to form a product stream (2) comprising chlorine dioxide and alkali metal salt of the acid; (c) bringing the product stream from the reactor to an eductor (3) and mixing it with motive fluid fed (4) to the eductor and thereby forming a diluted product stream (5); (d) bringing the diluted product stream to a gas-liquid separator (6) where gas is separated from liquid therein; (e) withdrawing a gaseous product stream (7) comprising chlorine dioxide and inert gas from said gas-liquid separator; and, (f) withdrawing a liquid phase from the gas-liquid separator. The invention also relates to a production unit to produce chlorine dioxide.

A nonwoven fabric is provided having a plurality of semi-crystalline filaments that are thermally bonded to each other and are formed of the same polymer and exhibit substantially the same melting temperature. The fabric is produced by melt spinning an amorphous crystallizable polymer to form two components having different levels of crystallinity. During spinning, a first component of the polymer is exposed to conditions that result in stress-induced crystallization such that the first polymer component is in a semi-crystalline state and serves as the matrix or strength component of the fabric. The second polymer component is not subjected to stress induced crystallization and thus remains in a substantially amorphous state which bonds well at relatively low temperatures. In a bonding step, the fabric is heated to soften and fuse the binder component. Under these conditions, the binder component undergoes thermal crystallization so that in the final product, both polymer components are semi-crystalline.

A hinge-lid container comprises a resealable package of consumer goods, the package having an opening through which consumer goods can be removed; and a self-adhesive reclosable sticker covering the opening of the package and extending beyond the periphery of the opening of the package. The sticker comprises a first and a second layer of labelling web material. The first layer is affixed to the package by a first adhesive provided on the inner surface of the first layer extending about at least a sealing portion of the package at the periphery of the opening. The first layer comprises a cut-out aligned with the opening of the package. The second layer is at least partially releasably affixed to the first layer by a second adhesive provided on a first area of the inner surface of the second layer extending about at least the lower periphery of the cut-out of the first layer. The second adhesive is a removable adhesive and a peel strength for peeling the first layer from the package is greater than a peel strength for peeling the second layer from the first layer. The second layer of the self-adhesive reclosable sticker is permanently affixed to the inner surface of the lid.
