Welcome to the Cayuse424 Desktop Readiness Module.In this module you will learn:

What is required to prepare your desktop so that you can access and use the Cayuse424 web application to support proposal development and electronic submission to Grants.gov.

Where to obtain detailed instructions on getting your desktop ready.

Task: Why:

Configure Web browser To ensure you can fully utilize Cayuse424 and all its functions.

Install Templates and Add-Ins So that you can create and upload Research Plans into the grant application quickly and easily.

Install Cayuse424 PDF Printer To create properly formatted PDFs that must be attached to the grant proposal before it’s submitted to Grants.gov.

There are three tasks to complete before your desktop is ready to use Cayuse424:

Browser Critiques4

Firefox - Recommended browser for Cayuse424 with any operating system. Firefox has the fastest load & response times. We currently support 2.0.

Internet Explorer - Slower than Firefox but an effective browser for the application. We support up to IE7.

Safari – Not supported at this time due to significant browser bugs. We are keeping watch on this Mac platform browser and anticipate better performance with the release of Leopard.

Configuration and click Welcome to Cayuse424 (.pdf).

Click ReadMeFirst.pdf and read.

Then, select the appropriate download (depending on what version of windows you are using) and follow the prompts.

Cayuse424 PDF Printer Instructions 8

To obtain detailed instructions on how to install the Cayuse424 PDF Printer: Scroll down to Installer

for Cayuse PDF printer. Click Windows Installer

for all Windows versions (except Vista).

Click beta Windows Installer for Vista if using Vista operating system.

Note: the Cayuse PDF Printer is not required for the MAC.
