How DO We Learn?
We learn best if we are actively not passively engaged
Boredom sets in after 10 minutes of routine thinking, impeding learning
Multisensory and especially visual stimuli enhance learning
Repetition is needed for 10 years for complete learning mastery
The brain rewires its learning pathways at age 3-5 and 13-15

Implications for Education
Make it relevant Make it individual Don’t make it boring Make it active Make it multi-sensory Especially make it visual Infuse it with technology Start earlier than kindergarten Repetition with feedback makes for mastery All of this applies to teachers as well as students
Conclusion: Technology enabled inquiry based learning, as exemplified by Project Based Learning, is a more effective way to
educate
