A2P SMS is rapidly being adopted by Healthcare providers, Smart homes (IOT), Financial services & Banks, Local Government, Public Transport, and Delivery operators.

A2P volumes are predicted to continue rising over the coming years, growing from 1.4 trillion SMS in 2013 to 2.19 trillion by 2018 (source ), with global revenues topping $50 billion (source Telefonica ‘Text Economy Report).

Informa Telecoms & Media is forecasting the MVNO market to increase from a subscription base of 117 million in 2012 to 270 million by the end of 2018, resulting in MVNO’s serving over 3% of global subscriptions.

While P2P SMS has shrunk due to the rise of OTT messaging apps, this is being offset by the growth of A2P SMS

SVI_SMSC Short Message Service Centre Open Flow Service Logic Squire Technologies Open Flow Service Logic technology is used internally by the product to deliver the core SMSC functionality while allowing for the provision and rapid deployment of new ‘value added services’. Provision New ‘Value Added Services’ New services can be provisioned in real time, via the service logic, insuring no loss of existing services and enabling those with existing SS7 interconnects to reap the rewards of recent SMS growth. Clients can use their own internal resources or alternatively commission Squire Tech’s provisioning team.
