The Inauguration of the conference will take place on 28-05-2012 from 10-00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Salient features of the programme for three days will include.

1. Plenary Session Addressed by the Key note Speaker and Guest Speakers.

2. Panel Discussion and Symposia.

3. Paper Presentation by Notable Scholars and Interactive Sessions.

4. Sectional Meetings (except plenary sessions many of the sessions / sectional meetings will be concurrent).

5. Meditation Sessions for Creating Awareness of Spiritual Being, Peace and Harmony and Awareness of Universal Almighty and Brotherhood.

6. Socio-Cultural Events, Yoga exhibition and Valedictory Session (one day excursion to historical and religious sites will be arranged on request by delegates).

There will be release of new books published by office bearers and delegates on 28-05-2012 and book exhibition also will be arranged during the conference. Delegates are requested to bring along with them copies of their publications to be included in the exhibition.

Karnatak University is one of the oldest Universities in the country which has received international recognition due to its outstanding research output and contributions. The P. G. Dept. of MassCommunication and Journalism started during 1982 has produced a large number of Journalists and Social Philosophers who are working throughout the globe. MassCommunication is the offshoot of Social Philosophy which has to be guided especially today by Yoga and Spiritualism. Against the backdrop of globalization, the relevance of the Indian Culture can be immediately realized given the increasing divorce between Philosophy, Society and Yoga. Thus the major respons ib i l i ty of mould ing the trends of Masscommunication with the objectives of mass upliftment, establishment of harmony and peace on the planet has to be monitored by Yoga and Spiritualism. Hence this conference.

The sessions of Conference will be held at Karnatak University Campus, Dharwad which is on NH4, and delegates will be accommodated in the campus of the university. There are trains and buses from all over India to Dharwad Via Bombay, Bangalore and Belgaum. Flights are also run up to Hubli and from Hubli to Dharwad one has to travel by bus.

The delegates will be received at Dharwad Railway / Bus station on prior intimation of date, time and other details. In case you are missed by our volunteers you should head straight to the University Campus Guest house either by Bus or by Auto (Auto charges will be around Rs.40/- to 50/-). of those who do not send their reign. fees along with the papers

will not be considered for publication.
