Excuse#2
They will not believe me, nor hearken
unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not
appeared unto thee.
They will not believe me, nor hearken
unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not
appeared unto thee.
They will not believe me, nor hearken
unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not
appeared unto thee.
They will not believe me, nor hearken
unto my voice: for they will say, The
LORD hath not appeared unto thee.
They will not believe me, nor hearken
unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not
appeared unto thee.
They will not believe me, nor hearken
unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not
appeared unto thee.
What [is] that in thine hand?
Cast it on the ground!
And it became!
Moses fled
Put forth thinehandhe put forth his hand … & it became
That they may believe that the LORD God … hath appeared
unto thee.
Put thine hand into thy bosom
His hand [was] leprous!
Put thinehand (back)
Plucked it out
It was turnedagain!
They will believethe voice of
the latter sign
If They Don’t Believe
The water which thou takest out of
the river shall become blood!
The Point of the Miracles?
God doesn’t need Moses’ power;
Moses needsGod’s Power!

not eloquent … but I [am] slow of speech,
and of a slow tongue.
O my Lord, I [am] not eloquent … but I [am] slow of speech,
and of a slow tongue.
O my Lord, I [am] not eloquent … but I [am] slow of speech,
and of a slow tongue.
Who hath made man's mouth?
Who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind?
Havenot
I the
LORD?
Now therefore go,
I will be with thy mouth,
I will teach thee what thou shalt say.
O my Lord, send,
I pray thee, by the hand
[of him whom] thou wilt send.
Lord, please! Send anyone else. (NLT)
Pardon [me], Lord. Please send
someone else. (NIV)
the anger of the LORD
was kindled
[Is] not Aaron the Levite

He cometh forth to meet thee:
He will be glad in his heart
Speak unto him, and put words in his mouthI will be with thy mouth and with his mouth
And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand,
wherewith thou shalt do signs.
Aaron
God doesn’t need eloquent speech, just a mouthpiece.
Refusal to answer the call arouses
God’s anger!
God’s call is bigger than you!
He will go to extremesto accomplish
His will!
One more look at God’s Chat with
MosesGod arouses Moses’ curiosity and Moses
takes the bait
God reveals His holiness and Moses
honors Him
God reveals His sympathy for the
afflicted
God reveals that He hears and answers
prayer
God reveals His plan to deliver the
afflicted
God enlists Moses to be the one to stand in the gap
Moses tells God that He is 40 years too
late
God tells Moses He will be with Him and not leave Him alone
God answers Moses’ question about credentials
God sends Moses, but Moses isn’t
ready to go
God explains that Moses will be
successful
God explains that Moses there will be
struggles
God equips Moses, but Moses want to
resign anyway
Moses experiences God’s anger and
agrees to go
God’s anger can be a
great motivator!
