Helpful Hints for Working in Pairs

Choose a shoulder buddy. A shoulder buddy is somebody who sits next to you. Your shoulders face his/her shoulders.

Pass materials. Passing means gently handing work tools to the person who has requested them.

Use your 2-inch voice, otherwise known as a whisper.

If you have a question that you absolutely cannot answer, raise your hand and I will come to you.

Be mindful of time.

Claim, clarification, warrants and hook in your notebook.

Work with a shoulder buddy using the handout provided.

By 10:35, you should have your claim, clarification, evidence and warrants written.
