    10 best Non Government Organisations(NGOs) OF INDIA

    NGOs are working to solve various problems like concerning children, women, senior citizens,

    environment etc.Here i make a list of 10 top NGOs of India according to their achievement ,who are

    working for our country with full dedication.

    1.Help Age India:HelpAge India, since its establishment in 1978 has constantly been striving to raise resources to

    protect the rights of senior citizens of our country. They advocate with national & local government to

    bring about policy that is beneficial to the elderly.They make society aware of the concerns of the

    aged and promote better understanding of ageing issues. They help the elderly become aware of their

    own rights so that they get their due and are able to play an active role in society.

    2.Sargam Sanstha:Sargam is a social and cultural Non Governmental and non profit making organization working for

    more than last 2 decades to improve the quality of society and life of children.The purpose of

    establishing Sammaan foundation (Jan 25, 2007) was empowering the downtrodden and linking them

    with the main stream through education, training and financial support. More specifically, at the

    moment, Sammaan is working towards organizing the rickshaw-pulling class of people by providing

    them with opportunities to earn their livelihood. It is taking giant strides in areas like women

    empowerment, health services, employment generation, micro credit and childrenseducation.

    5.Goonj:GOONJ is providing clothes & other basic amenities to millions in the far-flung villages by turning urban wastage

    into a resource for rural India.A unique resource mobilization initiative providing clothes and other basic amenities

    67 clothes, we now send out 80 to 100 tonnes of material every month , in 21 states of India. A force of over 300

    Ashoka fellows & social activists in parts of 20 states of the country. GOONJ has recently been awarded the 'Indian

    Pratham is the largest non-governmental organisation in India.It works towards the provision of quality education

    to the underprivileged children in India. Established in Mumbai in 1994 to provide pre-school education to children

    in slums, it now has activities in 21 states of India and has supporting chapters in the United States, UK, Germany

    and UAE.

    Prathamsfounder and current CEO, Madhav Chavan, was the 2011 recipient of the Skoll Award for Social

    chemotherapy centre as one of their main projects.
