10 Bible Verses for the Man You Are Raising October 10, 2014 by Marcy Crabtree 3 Comments 7K+ Sometime after the first of the year, I plan to write an eBook for parents who are raising sons. In that book, I will share 30 verses that I believe are foundational for our sons to know, understand, and live out in order to be the godly men they were created to be. Today, I’m sharing 10 of these verses. The eBook will include my comments about why I chose each particular verse, why I believe they are vitally important for our sons. Today, I’m only sharing verses. ***

10 Bible Verses for the Man You Are RaisingOctober 10, 2014byMarcy Crabtree3 Comments7K+Sometime after the first of the year, I plan to write an eBook for parents who are raising sons. In that book, I will share 30 verses that I believe are foundational for our sons to know, understand, and live out in order to be the godly men they were created to be.Today, Im sharing 10 of these verses. The eBook will include my comments about why I chose each particular verse, why I believe they are vitally important for our sons. Today, Im only sharing verses.***

Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:7-9)Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you,he will never let the righteous fall. (Psalm 55:22)Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pureand right. (Proverbs 20:11)

Dont let anyone look down on youbecause you are young, but set an examplefor the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faithand in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:56)Listen, my son, to your fathers instruction, and do not forsake your mothers teaching. They will be a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck. (Proverbs 1:8-9)

Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, loveand peace, along with those who call on the Lordout of a pure heart.Dont have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lords servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. (2 Timothy 2:22-25)The most important one, answered Jesus, is this: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:29-31)He has told you, O man, what is good;and what does theLordrequire of youbut to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirableif anything is excellent or praiseworthythink about such things. (Philippians 4:8)***If you dont want to miss other great deals, encouragement in parenting and homeschooling, and whatever else God lays on my heart, please consider subscribing to my blog through email.
