   We've  gathered  together  10  ideas  for  no-­‐cost  dates  for  you  and  your  partner  to  enjoy  together.      1.  Free  Outdoor  Concerts    

   Love  music  but  can't  afford  the  outrageous  concert  ticket  prices?  Check  your  local  paper  for  any  free  concerts  in  your  area.      Many  parks  have  free  outdoor  concerts  in  the  summer.  Bring  along  a  picnic  lunch!    Or,  check  your  local  pubs  and  taverns  for  local  bands  that  might  be  playing  in  the  area  –  all  you  have  to  buy  is  a  beer  or  two.              

 

 2.  The  Couple  That  Plays  Together...  

 We've  all  got  a  few  board  games  that  we  love  to  play,  like  Scrabble,  Trouble  or  the  old  standard,  Monopoly.      As  long  as  no  one  is  a  sore  loser,  staying  home  to  play  board  games  is  great  fun!  Or  for  a  modern  twist,  you  can  both  join  into  one  of  the  popular  MMORPGs  (massive,  multiplayer  online  role  playing  games)  like  World  of  Warcraft  or  PopMundo  and  spend  hours  online  together  living  a  double  life.    

   3.  Go  See  The  Stars    The  bright  lights  of  the  city  can  make  you  forget  that  there  are  stars  up  in  the  sky,  so  why  not  hop  in  the  car  and  head  out  away  from  the  lights  and  spend  an  evening  stargazing?      Take  a  blanket  and  a  bottle  of  wine  –  and  don't  forget  the  insect  repellent.              4.  Spend  A  Day  At  The  Beach    

Whether  at  the  ocean  or  lakeside,  you've  probably  got  a  nearby  beach  that  you  can  visit  at  no  cost.      Whether  you  take  a  walk  down  the  shore  or  just  sit  and  watch  the  waves,  there's  something  romantic  about  sitting  by  the  water's  edge.          

                   

 

 5.  Work  Up  A  Sweat  Together    Head  to  your  local  park  and  get  some  exercise!  You  might  like  playing  Frisbee,  or  passing  a  hacky  sack  around,  but  surely  there  is  something  the  two  you  enjoy  doing  together.      If  you've  got  nearby  nature  trails,  go  for  a  hike  or  ride  your  bikes  together.              6.  Go  For  A  Scenic  Drive  

 Getting  out  of  the  city  and  tooling  down  the  open  road  is  a  great  fun  afternoon.      Just  make  sure  you  bring  a  few  good  mix  tapes  of  your  favorite  music,  and  snacks  to  tide  you  over.            

   7.  Go  Fly  A  Kite    I  bet  you've  got  a  kite  that's  been  in  your  garage  for  years.  If  not,  a  new  one  is  really  inexpensive.  The  next  windy  day,  head  out  to  the  park  together  and  go  fly  a  kite!      

 

8. Have A Picnic

Sandwiches at the kitchen table are boring, but sandwiches on a blanket in the park are fun! Watch the people pass by and talk about the week that's passed or your plans for the week to come. Then take a nap in the sun.

9. Whipping Up A Sweet Treat Together Baking isn't too hard, and there are a lot of things you can make with ingredients you've already got in your kitchen. Go online and find a recipe for peanut butter or oatmeal cookies and spend the afternoon whipping up a few batches together. Later, you can watch a favorite movie together while munching on your home-made treats. 10. Send Him On a Scavenger Hunt

This one takes a little forethought and planning, but the rewards are so worth it! Create your own scavenger hunt for your date, with some sort of really special surprise at the end (a picnic lunch or a love letter you've written are both good ideas). He'll have fun following your clues, and you'll have fun watching him work his way through to the end!
