BASIC INFORMATION:

DAY: The 28th and the 29th of October 2017.

HOUR: From 08.30h (timetables according to ages below)

ADRESS: Parc del Colomer, s/n, Santa Susanna, Barcelona, Spain.

INSCRIPTION FEES:

• IKO MATSUSHIMA SPAIN members up to 15 years old are free of charge (Current license)

• Kids up to 15 years old have to pay 10€ (15 years old included)

• Teenagers between 16 and 17 years old have to pay 35€

• Sub 20 (18, 19 and 20 years old) have to pay 40€

• Seniors from 18 years old have to pay 45€ (18 years old included)

• Kata competitors have to pay 45€

• If the competitor is inscribed to Kumite and Kata, a single fee of 55€ has to be paid.

INSCRIPTION PROCESS:

• The payment of the inscription fee, has to be transferred to the following account:

ES71-2038-9236-196000068664 • The transfer must include the following information:

• The Dojo’s name

• The number of competitors

• After paying the inscription fee and transferring the money with the required information, the transfer receipt has to

be sent to the following e-mail address: [email protected]

The organization will not admit any competitor who has not done the corresponding

process of payment and inscription

No money will be returned in any case

INSCRIPTION DETAILS:

• Kids up to 15 years old (15 included) have to send the inscription form to the following e-mail address:

• ALL of the IKO MATSUSHIMA MEMBER inscription forms from 16 years old and above have to be sent to the

following e-mail address: [email protected]

• ALL of the NON IKO MATSUSHIMA MEMEBERS inscription forms from 16 years old and above have to be sent to the

following e-mail address: [email protected]

• The inscription forms are available on the 10º European Championships IKO MATSUSHIMA official website

• Inscriptions can be done since January 2017.

• The deadline for visas is until the 15th of September 2017.

• The first competitors inscribed will be able to enjoy the hotel offers.

• The inscription deadline is on the 30th of September.

• If needed, there’s going to be a WhatsApp group for information related to the competition. If you want to be added

to the group, please send a WhatsApp message to the following phone number: 691411206. This info group is going

to be delated the day after the competition.

ENTRANCE TO THE PAVILION:

• Competitors, coaches and referees have to get into the pavilion by the side door according to the timetables

established by their ages.

• Underage kids will be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians until the side door where the kid will be given

to the organization of the Championship.

• The organization of the championship is in charge to get the kid to the right place of competition and the parents /

legal guardians have to get to the terraces using the main door.

• Any competitor 16 years old and above (teenagers and seniors included) won’t be admitted without having been

interviewed with Shihan Cesar Rufo previously. According to curriculum, etc.

• Weighing and and medical revision from 16 years old and above. And will take place in the official hotel on Friday

the 27th of October 2017.

• Apart from age category there’s going to be weight distinction in each category. Weight has to be specified in the

inscription form.

• Pre-Benjamín, Benjamín, Alevín and Infantil are going to go through 3 combats per competitor.

• Prizes will regard 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner places.

ALLOWED TECHNIQUES:

NO CONTACT

Pre-Benjamín and Benjamín

• Techniques have to be done without contact. The judge is the only one taking care of every kid

wholeness and the good development of the fight.

CONTACT

Alevín

• Body contact is allowed by using fist and leg techniques. Nevertheless, repeated contact in the same

place is not allowed. The contact has to be varied. There’s not going to be punctuation.

Infantil

• Body contact is allowed by using fist and leg techniques. Nevertheless, repeated contact in the same

place is not allowed. The contact has to be varied.

If a competitor is scared or there’s too much difference (in terms of skills) between them, the winner of

the encounter will be the other one. (The judge has to talk to them and ask them to slow down. If the

competitor complains, it results in wazari).

• Head kicks are allowed only using CONTROLED circular leg techniques and light contact (Skin Touch) to

the head.

• No jumping godan kicks allowed.

• No passing kicks to the head are allowed.

Junior

• Body contact is allowed by using fist and leg techniques.

FORBIDDEN TECHNIQUES:

Infantil, Junior and Cadete:

• Contact to the head, face or neck, with the hand, fist or any other part of the arm.

• Pushing, hanging or holding the opponent.

• Hitting directly to the joints or to the back.

• Direct leg techniques to the face: Mae Geri, Hiza Geri, Ushiro Geri. GENTE ICHI-CHUI (This point is

allowed for Seniors).

*The organization reserves the right to modify the forbidden techniques. (In this case, previous information will be given to the

competitor).

CLOTHING STANDARDS:

• All of the competitors MUST wear a white and clean karate-gi.

• When competing, one of the competitors will have a red ribbon tied to the belt in the back while the other

competitor will only have the original belt.

• Finger nails and toe nails MUST be cut and iron objects, nail scissors or similar won’t be allowed in the

pavilion.

• It’s not allowed the use of protective clothes, bandages, or any other kind of protection apart from the ones

allowed in this document. Or the ones prescribed by a doctor from the competition and always from the

second round and on.

SCORING SYSTEM:

Junior at the end of the Combat:

ALL THE WAZARIS ARE ADDED

• As long as the jodan technique is well developed, wazari is going to be added.

• The development of any other allowed technique, which leads to a less than 3 seconds K.O., is going to

be added as a wazari.

• The lack of wazaris will be solved with the referee’s decision, whose decision will be held depending on

technical performance and dominance.

• Admonition will be taken into account.

• If one competitor is scared or there’s such a big skill difference between them, the most skilled will be

called, so he cuts down on his performance, considering him as the winner.

Cadete at the end of the Combat:

ALL THE WAZARIS ARE ADDED

REGARDING TO THE COACH:

• Coaches have to be at the pavilion an hour before the competition starts. So they can give the right indications for

the good functioning of the competition.

• A maximum of 4 coaches can be inscribed (depending on the categories).

• Coaches must always be in charge of the protecting items, depending on the categories.

• Coaches MUST wear their tracksuit uniform and carry the required documentation that they will deliver in the

weighing.

• Coaches, competitors and referees MUST be inscribed all together. In contrary, coaches won’t be able to get to the

competition area.

• Coaches MUST in any case, keep calm, avoid shouting and use his manners. If not, the coach will be excluded from

the competition and his competitor will lose the fight.

• There’s going to be an arbitration committee to attend doubts. This arbitration committee will take or change the

arbitration award.

REGARDING TO THE COMPETITOR:

• Competitors MUST in any case, keep calm, avoid shouting and use his manners. In and out of the tatami.

• Competitos MUST ALWAYS stay in the enabled zone for competitors. In contrary, the competitor will be excluded

from the competition.

• The competitor will be called for competition. If the competitor doesn’t attend to the competition area, he/she will

be called again 1 minute after. If the competitor doesn’t attend to the competition area after the second call, he/she

will be disqualified.

• All of the underage competitors MUST deliver an authorisation signed by his/her father/mather/legal guardian

(provided by the organization) in which the organization is exempt of any responsibility.

• All of the IKO MATSUSHIMA SPAIN competitors MUST deliver the current license (Up to 2017) The ones who

doesn’t present the currant license won’t be able to compete.

• The organization won’t, in any case, be the responsible of any injury or accident that could happen during the

competition. ALL OF THE COMPETITORS SHOULD HAVE AN INSURANCE THAT COULD COVER ANY INJURY OR

ACCIDENT THAT COULD HAPPEN DURING THE COMPETITION.

REGARDING TO THE REFERESS:

• Referees have to be at the pavilion an hour before the competition starts. So they can give the right indications for

the good functioning of the competition.

• A minimum amount of two referees must be inscribed. If the referees aren’t available, there must be an inscription

fee paid as a competitor.

• They must be uniformed with BLUE SUIT, BLUE SHIRT and BLUE TIE.

• The starting parade will be done with coat and shoes.

• During the competition, referees won’t wear coat and shoes.

• During salutation of the referees and judges the Mawate will be done from behind and heading to the right.

REGARDING TO THE FACULTATIVE:

• There MUST BE maximum respect when the presence of the facultative is requested.

• The Doctor objection will acquire highest priority in any case.

REGARDING TO THE SPECTATORS:

• They are asked to attend in the indicated time at the indicated area for spectators.

• They are asked to keep calm, avoid shouting and use their manners.

• They are asked to be neat. Try not to mess up or dirty the grandstand.

• If someone scolds the referee/coach/competitor/organization of the competition or any other, will be expelled of

the competition and won’t get the price of the entrance returned in any case.

• The club could be declared loser due to a bad behavior performed by the public.

• Video and photography will be recorded and taken from the grandstand in any case.

• The entrance to the competition area won’t be able without official accreditation.

TIMETABLES AND ENTRANCE PRICES:

Therefore, in accordance with current legislation on capacity issues and the good affinity with public and competitors, the

schedules for the proper development of the competition have been established.

ENTRANCE PRICE FROM 12 YEARS OLD AND ABOVE:

- Morning session: 10€

- Afternoon session: 12€

- Morning and afternoon session: 12€

KUMITE TIMETABLES (Kumite check-in times)

- Up to 7 years old have to check-in at 8:30.

v Performance will start at 9:00.

- 8 and 9 years old have to check-in at 9:30.


- From 10 years to 13 years old heave to check-in at 10:30.


- 14 and 15 years old have to check-in at 11:30.


For organizational reasons there will be the option to proceed with the weighing and to deliver the documentation during the

competition and within 30 minutes before competing.

Competing in KUMITE without having gone through the weighing before, is not allowed.

IMPORTANT NOTE RELATED TO THE MORNING SESSION:

For the proper functioning of the competition, and governed by the current legislation in terms of capacity, we ask to all of the

partens/legal guardians and companions to vacate the pavilion at the end of the performance of each competitor.

Since other partens/legal guardians and companions will be waiting outside to assist to the following established timetables.
