Congress

• The group of government officials that control the funding for the United State. Without their approval on the subject at hand, an example is war, the military wont get any money to fight the war.

House Of Representatives• This a congregation of

representatives from all countries they represent. If the electoral vote between the two candidates are tied, the house will decide the next president.

Senate

• The senate has to have 2/3 vote to approve presidential treaties. Also needs over ½ votes to approve presidential appointments.

Executive Branch

• The executive branches job is to carry out laws. The requirements to be in this branch are:

• 1. 35 years old• 2. Natural Born• 3. 14 year resident of U.S.

Electoral College

• This is the way the president gets elected. Each state has a certain amount of electoral votes. Each state must agree with one candidate, giving that person the votes. First to 270 is president.

Presidential Powers

• Commander in chief is the most well known of the powers. This gives the president the final say so in all military decisions. This however is null and void if congress doesn’t fund the action.

More Presidential Powers

• Judicial powers such as 1. Pardon 2. Amnesty 3. Reprieves 4. CommutationAll of which involve forgiving or delaying

punishment and crimes.

Ex Post Facto Laws

This is, in my opinion, is a stupid law. This states that you can be punished for a crime even when it wasn’t a law yet. That is not fair at all. How can he break a new law in the past.

State Of Union

• A speech given once a year by the president. This speech basically says where we are, where are we going, and how do we get there.
