10 Reasons YOU CAN Achieve Your DreamsPOSTED ON APRIL 2, 2012 BY M. A. TOHAMI | CATEGORIES: CREATIVITY, SELF IMPROVEMENT, SUCCESS

Instead of realizing their dreams, too many people never get started, too

busy, instead listing all the reasons why they cannot achieve their

dreams.

Things like:

1. I do not have enough money.

2. I’m not talented.

3. I do not have enough knowledge.

4. I do not have enough experience.

5. I have failed many times in the past.

6. I’m not lucky.

7. Who I am to dream of making such an impact.

8. …and so on.

They defeat themselves before they even get started!

Page 2: 10 Reasons YOU CAN Achieve Your Dreams - Pick the Brain | Motivation and Self Improvement

This is not what you deserve.

So, here are 10 reasons why YOU CAN achieve your dreams:

1. You can because it’s feels great!

“To be able to get out of bed and do what you love for the rest of the day is

beyond words.” - John Schroeder

Your dream exists to turn your life into a masterpiece of joy and

contribution. Doing what you love and living your life on your own terms

are the best things you can do for yourself.

2. You can because it’s YOUR dream

Writer Richard Bach says, “You’re never given a wish without also being given

the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however.”

The dream that is born inside your heart will never exist, if you do not

have the power to make it come true. That’s a timeless truth.

Since you have thought about it, then you have an innate ability to

achieve it.

It’s so unique that only you can make it true.

3. You can because it shapes your future

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the

beauty of their dreams.”

The world’s movers and shakers are those who believed in their dreams

and persevered until they manifested what they have dreamt about.

Envision your dream and see by your heart’s eyes how it can change the

world and have a huge impact on so many lives.

4. You can because you can land on the clouds

“I’m a dreamer. I have to dream and reach for the stars, and if I miss a star then I

grab a handful of clouds.” -Mike Tyson

When you work on your dreams, you will create your best life possible.

Even if you cannot reach the stars, you will at least land on the clouds.

5. You can because you are hungry

“If you take responsibility for yourself you will develop a hunger to accomplish

your dreams.” -Les Brown

Nothing will feed your hunger for making a difference more than

pursuing your dream.

Page 3: 10 Reasons YOU CAN Achieve Your Dreams - Pick the Brain | Motivation and Self Improvement

It will add meaning to your life and make your efforts worthwhile. It will

make you wake up every morning with exhilaration and enthusiasm.

As Les Brown says, “You gotta be HUNGRY”

6. You can because you don’t want to die again

“When you cease to dream you cease to live.” -Malcolm Forbes

If you ignore the love and light in your heart, your soul will die of

starvation.

Too many people are living, but very few are actually ALIVE!

Following a dream is the only way to start living. When you dream, you

become alive. And I do not think you want to ignore your dream and die

again.

7. You can because you are a pioneer

“A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment

is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.” -Oscar Wilde

You will face criticism, not because you are wrong, but because you are a

pioneer.

People are not used to see dreamers who have crazy ideas to make the

world a better place.

Most people are so stuck in the rut that they do not believe someone

can get out, spread his/her wings and fly high in the sky.

8. You can because you deserve it

“Dreams are the touchstones of our character.” -Henry David Thoreau

You deserve to have a big dream and to become remarkable. If you do

not leave your mark in the world, no one will remember you.

Living small makes you small and you are born to be great. You have a

dream because you have a strong character that strives to live big and

be big.

9. You can because there is a problem that only you can solve

“Dreams are today’s answers to tomorrow’s questions.” -Edgar Cayce

You dream because you have a burning desire to solve a problem or

fulfill a need that would make the world a better place.

You are our answer to our most difficult questions. You owe it to us and

to the world.

Page 4: 10 Reasons YOU CAN Achieve Your Dreams - Pick the Brain | Motivation and Self Improvement

10. You can because you’ve got the courage

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” -Walt

Disney

All what your dream needs is courage that will nurture it and make it

grow beyond all limitations. And you have this courage within you.

If you’re passionate about it, unleash it. No matter what you think or

what other people think, YOU CAN.

You can.

You deserve.

You owe it to yourself and to the world.

It’s time to believe in the beauty of your dreams and show the world the

promise and brilliance of your legacy.

A VERY IMPORTANT DREAM

I have a dream that appears to be fading away (with my soul too) because I am surrounded by all types of glues that prevent me fromstarting it.

I am born to be a great scientist , I know what I am looking for , I know how to accomplish it , but I just need the start. My dream willsolve the energy problem of the planet , advance space exploration to a very great extent and other applications that I don't know butmust exist. I have always loved great scientists and wanted to be like them.

I don't want money , fame or anything in life. I just want to do the thing I was born to do and then die. I NEED TO ACCOMPLISH MYDREAM NO MATTER WHAT I WILL FACE.

I live in Egypt and since it's a developing country it has no room for people like me , it has no room for innovators , no room for thosewho want to make an enormous impact to the world , and to say the truth , I CAN'T LIVE MY LIFE ANYMORE.

I am already 24 and haven't taken any actual steps to see it true. I have read the book of " THINK AND GROW RICH " but can't makethe start because I exist in the wrong place. Einstein's life was much much easier than mine since he was in Germany and never hadproblems such as mine.

TO ANYONE WHO READS THIS POST , PLEASE TRY AND HELP ME IF YOU CAN. THE MATTER IS EXTREMELY SERIOUS. I AM

Hey, you just were born in the exact right place. Because of this, you've seen many deficiencies, you've seen hungry, poverty, corruption, so much it has carved your soul so it longs for a better place. The so-called "first world" don't need you that much, but your homeland does. It needs to be improved by people like you. Don't be fooled to think that your bright destiny issomewhere in the US or in Europe receiving a high salary as an astronomer or something similar. Although there's a lot ofchances you'll go study overseas to fulfill your education, always remember where you're coming from, and who's in greatneed of you - your country.

It's really hard to accomplish what I've been dreaming of for years without the support of my parents, so without them I don't havemoney (I'm still 17 and want to be a professional dancer) I know I'm not the best but I know that I have something nobody else hasand that what keeps me going. I have a fight with my parents everyday about my dream and them wanting me to use my mentalabilities and be a great doctor or sth and I don't want that! I want to be happy and dance for living because this what makes me happy:( it seems far away but I know deep down that I won't give up and I'll be more than ready to struggle just to get there

I particularly agree with Schroeder, Bach and Roosevelt.

I go to work each day enjoying what I do and loving my job. It's why I don't pay much attention to the "quit your job and craft yourown future" blogs. I love what I do and see each 14 hour day as a step towards a more positive future.

I enjoy each day and I viciously fight every battle because I know, as Bach said, that it is not easy to achieve your dreams. I'mtempted to say a dream cannot be a dream if it can be achieved easily, but maybe some people dream of pancakes and maple syrup.

Thanks for the post. 1△ ▽

Good for you Stephen.

The issue with dream jobs is that, in the long term, you'll find it limiting to your potential. It may fit you now, but in the nearfuture you may realize that you're limited by the corporate policies and can't realize your FULL potential.I just thought ofhighlighting this fact for you, and I wish you all the best.

I feel like a troll but I didn't make it past number 1 because the bad grammar just ruined the integrity of the entire piece. I don't alwaysuse perfect grammar, but I don't write articles with the lofty goal of setting someone on their path to greatness either."1. You can because it’s feels great!"Then I checked to see if this was written by a successful person and found out that it is another person that became somewhatsuccessful by feeding off of other people that also want to become successful.Like I said.. I am feeling a bit like a troll... and I never made it past number one, but if there is anything I know is that it doesn't "FEELSGREAT" to be successful. I believe it hurts and you make sacrifices. I believe you have to spend countless hours alone working hardwhen nobody even knows you are working in order to be extraordinary. You can't just know that "It's feels great" and be successful. You have to go kick some ass.I'd rather just hear an actual successful person talk about how they personally turned everything around.

I sadly have aserious illness (I was born with muscle disease and, as it was neglected, caused me Scoliosis of the spine) so issues going on, I needto have corrective surgery in America this year. But no matter what life has thrown at me my dreams have always been the things thathave kept me alive and kept me going. Most of my dreams are travel-related, but I have one, BIG burning dream that isn't-to meet afamous person!. This person (who is a big belieber....oaps, where did I get that word from??, believer in dreams himself) I really wantto meet as he has inspired me so much. With mottos like #BELIEVE, DreamBIG and the ever famous #NEVERSAYNEVER I know if Ithink of these I CAN do it, yes of course, it is the one and only JUSTIN BIEBER!!. He's just amazing and has cheered me up duringsome really hard times in my life. As for what I've been doing to try and make my dream come true and meet him?, well I have sentover 5, 000 emails about it, made 258 phone calls and am in the process of typing up a physical letter (in purple print, ofcourse....Justin's favourite colour)! which tells of my illness, how I came to be a fan and my dream to meet him!. I'll also add anappropiate photo of little me in it too!, (I'm thinking something like BELIEVE in the baackground or something). I also have a Facebookgroup 'CAMPAIGN FOR SHAMEME ADAMS TO MEET JUSTIN BIEBER'!.....get it joined folks!!!!. But I like Justin so much and willwork hard to make that (and of course all my other dreams come true). Whatever your dreams work hard and #BELIEVE everyone!.Shameme x

This is really inspirational, i feel like im letting myself go though. My dream is so generic in this day and age, I want it so bad though.Im 18 and i just wanna be a Rap artist, its all i need to satisfy my soul. All i do is write but im too scared to record, my voice isnt strongenough, i dont know, i feel like im fading and if i dont have this i have nothing else to strive for. Dreams are amazing and beautiful butso scary at the same time, the biggest fear is failing in something you love, its the ultimate heart break. I dont want it for fame, i dontwant it for fortune, i want it to spread what i have to stay and enrich lives and just be appreciated. i dont know who to turn to or whereto go, im just a young girl with hope but no faith in myself.

I have this thought: when we face numerous obstacles in our journey towards accomplishing our dreams, does it mean that we arebeing tested for our commitment, or is it the other way around - is it nature / life telling us to give up and find an alternative? How dowe know that it is time to let go? Sometimes dreams hinder our very happiness and stop us from pursuing other things that might giveus different kind of joy. "Doing what you love and living your life on your own terms are the best things you can do for yourself." I couldn't agree with you more! There's nothing like doing what makes you happy. Definitely much better than having to drag yourself out of bed in the morningbecause you're dreading the day that's ahead of you.
