This year’s queen is 7 th grader Madison Smith, and the court was complete with second runner up Summer Cunningham, and third runner up Antonisha Simon The Lady Warriors defeated the Crestview Lady Chargers by a score of 41 to 15 Monday night at home. The leading scorers on the night were Summer Cunningham with 10 points, Dasjia Wilson with 9 and Idalias Flagg with 7 points. The player of the game was Summer Cunningham as she scored 10 points, and added 5 rebounds and 6 steals. HJH Celebrates Homecoming The Junior High Homecoming Queen and her court. Homecoming queen Madison Smith. The HJH Warriors remained undefeated as they faced the Crestview Chargers on Monday. They controlled both sides of the ball as they came away with the victory with the score 54-30. The player of the game was Montravious Washington. Other players that shined on the court were Clayton Converse, David Johnson, Dillon Bond, and Jerry Woods. HJH Boys Remain Undefeated The Lady Warriors getting set on defense. The Lady Tomcats hosted the JCM Lady Cougars on Tuesday night and easily defeated the team. The Tomcats played a strong defensive game that produced turnovers and led to easy baskets on the other side of the court. The leading scorer of the night was #14 Chelsey Owens with an outstanding 26 points scored. Trinity Jackson scored 9, and Itianna Shirley added 8 to help lead the Tomcats to victory. The nal score on the night was 67-33 as the Tomcats dominated the night. Lady Tomcats defeat JCM Jamarcus Comage plays defense. Dewayne Turner attempts a three point shot over the defense. The Tomcats played a back and forth game against JCM on Tuesday night. JCM started out strong as they took an early lead against Haywood. The Tomcats came back strong to tie the score before half time as they walked off with a 24-24 score. The third quarter showed the Tomcats and coach Ray Jones open up the game as the offense took over and took a commanding lead that seemed to turn the game. Tyler Boyd threw down a few vicious dunks as he cut through the JCM defense. The fourth quarter was when the comeback for JCM mounted as they came back to even the score and seemed to be ready to take the lead until Haywood had a few key turnovers that led to fast break points and some hard baskets in the paint. The game was sealed by two free throws by Jamarcus Comage that guaranteed the Haywood victory with the score 52-47. Tyler Boyd led the Tomcats with 13 points as he controlled the lane and the paint. Adding to Haywood’s arsenal of scoring on that night was Dewayne Turner with 9, Leonard Beasley with 8, and Jamarcus Comage with 6 points.
