September 15th Event Schedule

6:25 pm, downtown church bells begin to ring

6:30 pm, bells cease, band starts to play , grand entry of all scouts begins , march from city hall to south side of the park ending at the foot of the statue of liberty , scouts fall into a brigade style formation ,all at attention

6:35 pm, presentation of the colors , from the rear of scout formation up to the statue , post colors

6:40 pm, national anthem sung by a special person

6:45 pm, pledge of allegiance , led by council`s 5,000th eagle scout

Cub oath-led by a cub ,said by all cubs present

Scout oath-led by a scout, said by all scouts present

Venture oath-led by a venture scout said by all venturer

Scout law repeated by all scouts

6:55 pm, mc [scripted ] welcome vip`s, natl team and everyone in attendance

7:00 pm, blessing of the event by a local pastor

7:05 pm, mc [scripted] rededication of the statue of liberty with a new plaque

7:25 pm, eagle class of 2009 presented [as a group] names read aloud

7:35 pm , presentation of mural by natl. team

8:05 pm, special recognition of scout[s] that have received all 121 mb`s and of zack kerns for his accomplishments

8:10 pm, winners of the look-a-like contest brought up to the stage , introduced , congratulated , band plays short intro

8:20 pm, mc closes ceremony ,announces program s taking place in cicic center park i.e. merit badge display, wood badge project display , cub kick -off , eagle project display boards etc

8:45 pm ,event ends , clean up begins
