The studies of Reading instruction
Requires learners to do a lot of reading practice over an extended period of time and to have a lot of exposure to reading.
Instructors are failing to teach learners strategies, whether they are effective or not, and can’t show them how to use effective strategies to obtain comprehension from reading.
