FADE IN:

EXT. - A DARK ALLEY - NIGHT

CAMERA PANS around the darkened alleyway. Playful, kid-type NEON SIGNS blink on and off, casting eerie shadows. TIMMY, WANDA and COSMO dramatically step out of the darkness. Each wears a glowing “TRON-LIKE” SUIT and HELMET and carries a phosphorescent ENERGY STAFF. (The Godparents have stars on the end of theirs).

TIMMYIt’s quiet. Too quiet.

Several SHADOWY FIGURES dash across the alley.

TIMMYWhat was that?

The shadowy figures flip over their heads and land all around them! At first, it looks as though they might be wielding knives. But, they throw their “knives” which turn out to be deadly RAZOR CARROTS. Cosmo and Wanda flip out of the way with ninja-like skills as the carrots slice into the brick walls of the alley!

Timmy stands alone. Several carrots fly towards him!

WANDATimmy! Look out! That’s double the daily recommended supply of Beta Carotin!

COSMOIt’s neither good, nor good for you!

TIMMYNooo!!!

SLO-MO-ACTION

Timmy dodges several carrots that move through the air, leaving “ripples” in their wake, ala the Matrix.

ON COSMO

The carrots that Timmy dodges, shoot right through Cosmo, leaving his body riddled with holes.

COSMOI’m hit! A lot!

Cosmo dematerializes.

WANDA

Look out! They’re coming closer! They’re... They’re...

A CROWD of exceptionally cute NINJA BUNNIES emerges from the shadows.

TIMMYNinja bunnies? (BEAT) Hold it! Stop! Stop! Stop! Helmets off!

Wanda and Timmy pull off their helmets. The dark alley morphs into TIMMY’S BEDROOM, where Cosmo waits with holes still in his body.

COSMOLook at me! I’m cheese!

ANGLE ON TIMMY

He’s kinda pissed.

WANDASomething wrong, Timmy?

TIMMYFuzzy bunnies? What am I, four?

Suddenly, VICKY kicks the door open. Cosmo and Wanda poof away. Timmy freaks at the sight of her.

VICKYHey! I heard happy! What’s going on in here?

TIMMYNothing! Just... uh... playing video games.

VICKYWell keep it down! You know when I’m watching you, I’m watching something on TV!

Vicky EXITS. When she shuts the door, we see that the Godparents were behind the door in their fishbowl, but regular size. They’re crammed in there.

WANDAThat was close!

COSMONo, this is close.

WANDAI’m chafing!

TIMMY

Look, I’m gonna go to the bathroom. While I’m gone, please fix this game! No bunnies! No ponies! Something that’ll scare the pants off me!

COSMOBut, you’ll be in the can. You’ll already have your pants...

WANDA(interrupting)

Why don’t you wish for exactly what you want? We’ll do our best!

TIMMYChester and AJ will be here any minute and I really wanna impress them. I wish for a video game that’s challenging. A game that you can’t wish yourself out of!

Timmy EXITS. Cosmo and Wanda POOF out of the Fishbowl.

COSMOHey, that wish is just vague enough to work!

WANDAYeah! But we’re gonna need a lot of power to make it work!

Cosmo and Wanda dramatically pull POWER CORDS out of their wands and plug them into the wall.

COSMOOne tough game, comin’ up!

They wave their wands together and... KA-BLAM!!!

MONTAGE

CUT TO:

EXT. - THE CITY - SAME TIME

All the lights in all the buildings dim.

CUT TO:

INT. - A DOCTOR’S AUDITORIUM - SAME TIME

STUDENT DOCTORS sit watching an OLDER DOCTOR instruct them on a procedure. A PATIENT lies on the gurney.

OLDER DOCTORObserve, students, as I remove a needless “second kidney”.

He reaches in. The lights go off for a second. When they come back on, the older Doctor is holding a cartoony beating heart.

STUDENT DOCTOR #1I’m new here... uh... but isn’t that a very needed “only heart”?

CUT TO:

INT. - A ROMANTIC CANDLE LIT DINNER - SAME TIME

TWO LOVERS stare deeply into each other’s eyes.

MANIn this light, you’ve never seemed more beautiful.

WOMANOh, Chet!

The lights dim even more.

MANEugh! In this light, you look like my mom!

The man exits as the woman buries head in her hands, sobbing.

CUT TO:

EXT. - THE TURNER HOUSE - EARLY EVENING - THAT MOMENT

CHESTER AND AJ WALK INTO FRAME AND see Timmy’s house just as the windows flash white from the magic blast.

CHESTERWhoa!

AJWhat was that?

Chester and AJ watch as the lights in the house return to normal.

AJThe power surged.

CHESTEREvery light in the city dimmed...

CHESTER AND AJ

Timmy’s got a new video game!

They quickly run in the house.

CUT TO:

INT. - TIMMY’S ROOM - A MOMENT LATER

The God parents float in their fishbowl.

WANDAHope Timmy likes his new game.

Chester and AJ enter Timmy’s room.

CHESTERHey, where’s the dude?

AJ looks at his watch.

AJIt’s 6:13. Timmy always goes to the bathroom at 6:13.

CHESTERThat’s weird. He always struck me as more of a 7:43 tinkler...

AJ notices the helmets resting on top of Timmy’s TV.

AJ(interrupting)

Cool! Virtual Reality helmets!

They put the helmets on and DISAPPEAR! The lights dim as they go into the game. Cosmo and Wanda pop out of their fishbowl.

WANDAWell, that’s not good.

Timmy bursts in.

TIMMYWhat’s up with the power surge?

COSMOShh! Chester and AJ are on TV!

TIMMYWhat?

Timmy looks at the screen and sure enough...

CUT TO:

ON THE TV

Chester and AJ face a hallway with several TETHER-BALL COURTS. This electronic landscape looks a lot more serious than the last trip into the game. Chester and AJ look very small in this place. SPIKED TETHER-BALLS spin around the poles, winding up and unwinding.

CHESTER (ON TV)This is odd. Usually Timmy’s games are filled with fuzzy bunnies.

AJ (ON TV)I know! What is he, four?

CHESTER AND AJ (ON TV)(LAUGHING)

CUT TO:

INT. - TIMMY’S ROOM - SAME TIME

ON COSMO AND WANDA

TIMMYThose creeps! Wait’ll I reset them...

Timmy reaches for the RESET BUTTON. Wanda stops him.

COSMONo!

WANDAWait! If you turn the game off while they’re in there, or if they lose their three lives... they’ll be gone forever.

TIMMYWhat? Then I wish ‘em out of the game!

COSMOYou can’t!

COSMO’S head turns into TIMMY’S HEAD as he quotes:

COSMO “I wish for a video game that’s challenging. A game that you can’t wish yourself out of!”

COSMO’S head turns back into his own head.

WANDA

You either win the game, or take off the helmet.

TIMMYYou guys don’t do anything halfway, do you?

COSMONope! We’re two halves of a whole idiot!Suddenly, the lights dim.

TIMMYWhat the...

CUT TO:

INT. - THE LIVING ROOM - SAME TIME

Timmy peers over the banister and sees Vicky turn on the living room LAMP.

TIMMY(to himself)

Oh great. This game is using so much energy, that anything Vicky plugs in could short out the power and turn the game off!

CUT TO:


Timmy enters and grabs the VR helmet. Cosmo and Wanda follow.

TIMMY Those guys are goners, unless I get ‘em out of there. You guys keep Vicky from using up anymore power.

Timmy puts the helmet on and disappears into the game. The lights dim as he enters.

COSMOHe’s being vague again.

CUT TO:


Vicky is plugging numerous POWER CORDS into one outlet.

VICKYAnd this is the TV. This is VCR. This is the DVD. This is surround sound. This is the combination microwave popcorn maker and

neck massager... And I don’t know what this plug does, but I ain’t paying for the electricity!

The Godparents poof in, next to the outlet as MICE.

WANDAWe can’t let her plug all those things in! She’ll blow the power!

COSMOHey! Follow me into the TV! I’ve got an idea!

Cosmo unplugs all of the cords and leaves them in a pile by the wall. Then he jumps into the back of the television. Wanda pulls out a DAY RUNNER and writes a note to herself.

WANDAWednesday, March 22nd. Cosmo had an idea!

She tucks her day runner away and follows Cosmo into the television.

ANGLE ON VICKY

She clicks the REMOTE to turn the TV on.

ANGLE ON TV

We see a logo that reads “I LOVE WANDA” We hear “I Love Lucy” like music. The screen fades into a set that looks like the black and white version of “I Love Lucy.” Wanda, dressed as Lucy, is holding a BABY. Cosmo, dressed like Desi Arnez, steps into frame.

COSMOWanda! You got some ‘splainin’ to do!

WANDAIt’s called “Explaining.”

COSMOWAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

VICKYBoring!

Vicky changes the channel. Wanda sits as a NEWS CASTER in front of a big “Channel 4” logo. We hear “teletype” clicking in the background.

WANDA...and now, here’s Cosmo with the weather.

ON COSMO HOLDING A FEATHER.

COSMO(long beat)

I thought you said feather.

Vicky changes the channel again as we...

CUT TO:

INT. - VIDEO GAME LEVEL 1 (TETHER-BALLS OF DOOM)

Timmy materializes in the game. He stands where Chester and AJ (now long gone) stood earlier. The spiked tether balls spin around, narrowly missing Timmy, but he thinks he’s safe.

TIMMYCool! Tether balls!

(beat)Wow... Cosmo and Wanda really made this game...

A TETHER-BALL swings into frame, blowing a “hole” through Timmy.

TIMMY ...tougher.

He dematerializes. And then re-materializes.

TIMMY I lost a life on level one! What am I, four?

CUT TO:


Vicky is channel surfing. She hits the remote. The Channel “changes” to a Jerry Springer type talk show. Wanda is the host, Cosmo is the guest on the chair.

WANDAWait. You married your car?

COSMOYep. And now my kids get seventeen miles to the gallon!

A CHAIR flies into frame knocking Cosmo over. Wanda stares at the screen.

WANDA...and we’ll be right back.

VICKYYawn!

She changes the channels again.

CUT TO:

INT. - VIDEO GAME LEVEL 1

Timmy is dodging tether balls when he and the game start to flicker like TV static.

TIMMYOh no!!! Another power surge!

INT. - VIDEO GAME LEVEL 8 (JUNGLE GYM OF DOOM)

Chester and AJ are crossing a massive ravine, proceeding hand over hand on MONKEY BARS. The power flickers for a moment and they “deresolve,” long enough for the bar AJ is hanging from to become un-solid.

AJAaaaaaaaa!!!!!

AJ disappears like Wile E. Coyote falling to his doom.

CHESTERCool.

CUT TO:

INT. - VIDEO GAME LEVEL 2 (AUNT GERTRUDE OF DOOM)

Timmy enters the level and looks around -- it looks like a coral reef version of a 1950s living room.

TIMMYHey. This looks like my Aunt Gertrude’s house.

The far wall moves. Suddenly, a gigantic AUNT GERTRUDE CRAB crawls towards Timmy.

AUNT GERTRUDE CRABCome here, Timmy! Let Aunt Gertrude pinch those chubby cheeks of yours!

TIMMYI hope she means my face...

Timmy swims for his life with Aunt Gertrude in hot pursuit. He finds a WANDA COIN. Wanda appears.

WANDAI’m a Wanda coin! You may wish for one thing to help you on this level.

The crab crawls closer and closer...

TIMMY I wish I had cheeks of steel!

WANDAI hope you mean your face!

TIMMYI do!

Wanda waves her wand and Timmy’s cheeks becomes metallic, just as the Crab’s claws come in for the “kill.” The claws crack against his face, revealing tasty white crab meat. A REDNECK family enters carrying knives and forks.

REDNECK DADSuppertime!

CUT TO:


Vicky changes the channel again. We see a Seinfeld like logo which reads “Cosmo” and hear a Seinfeld-esque musical sting. Cosmo stands in front of a MICROPHONE on a comedy stage.

COSMOIt’s a show about nothing!

(beat; he looks around)How do we know when it’s done?

VICKYI do!

She changes the channel again. This time, Cosmo is in a commercial, singing public domain songs. He is dramatically lit, with a heavenly CLOUD FORMATION behind him.

ANNOUNCER (V.O.)His velvety voice and beautiful lyrics have moved generations.

COSMO(singing)

The wheels on the bus go round and round!

ANNOUNCER (V.O.)His is a talent that will fill your heart with joy.

COSMO(singing)

There was a farmer had a dog and Bingo was his...

Vicky changes the channel.

VICKYMan! There’s nothing on today!

CUT TO:

INT. - VIDEO GAME LEVEL 12 (CLASS ROOM LEVEL)

Chester and AJ stand at the foot of a surreal looking class room. On the far side of the room, is a TEACHER’S DESK with an APPLE on it. Between them and the teacher’s desk are rows of SCHOOL DESKS, floating several feet above a FIELD OF POINTY STICKS.

CHESTERCool! Look!

ANGLE UNDER THE DESKS

The pointy sticks are actually the tops of BROOMS being pushed by VIDEO JANITORS.

CHESTER Apparently if you don’t get through this class, you spend the rest of your life as a janitor!

AJThere’s a lesson in that.

ON CHESTER AND AJ

TIMMY flashes into frame, joining them.

TIMMYGuys! I found you!

CHESTERHey Timmy, great game dude!

TIMMYWe’ve got to get out of here!

AJNo way! This is the greatest video game ever!

TIMMYGuys, we only have two lives left.

AJSo? It’s not like if we get wasted in here, we disappear forever, right?

TIMMYUh...

CHESTERBesides, I have three lives!

AJ calmly pushes Chester to his Janitorial doom.

CHESTER AAAAAA!

Chester re-materializes next to Timmy and AJ.

TIMMYStop it! Guys, The three of us have to stick together! Only together, through the power of teamwork can we...

TIMMY’S POV

Chester and AJ have begun jumping on class desks to get to the front of the room.

CHESTER AND AJ(laughing as they run)

TIMMY sighs and scrambles to catch up.

CUT TO:

INT. TURNER’S LIVING ROOM

Vicky changes the channel again. This time, nothing comes on.

VICKYWhat the?

INSIDE THE TV

Cosmo and Wanda are still mice.

COSMOI’m all out of ideas!

Wanda pulls out her day runner and scratches off her previous note.

WANDAWell, easy come easy go.

VICKY (O.S.)Hey! The plugs came out!

COSMO AND WANDAOH NO!!!

Vicky plugs all the plugs into the wall and hits the remote, turning everything on at the same time.

CUT TO:

EXT. - THE TURNER HOUSE - EARLY EVENING

Every light in the house flashes white. Then everything goes black.

CUT TO:


ON WANDA IN THE TELEVISION - BLACK SCREEN

Only her eyes are visible.

WANDAOh no! The power’s out! Timmy!

Wanda’s eyes looks around. Cosmo’s gone.

WANDA Cosmo?

Wanda poofs off frame.

INT. - TIMMY’S ROOM - A MOMENT LATER

Wanda appears in Timmy’s room. She sees that Cosmo, still a mouse, is running on a TREADMILL that powers the video game. He’s trying to catch a T-BONE STEAK that is just out of his reach.

COSMOI had another idea!

WANDAWay to keep the power going, Sweetie.

Wanda grabs her day runner again.

WANDA(writing)

This was a magnificent day for Cosmo.

COSMOGood thing I’m more hungry than tired!

CUT TO:

INT-VIDEO GAME/CLASS ROOM LEVEL

The three of them stand near a portal, under a sign that reads “To Last Level.”

TIMMYGuys, we really need to stop playing! I have to go.

AJNo you don’t. You just went at 6:13.

CHESTERBesides -- we only have one level left!

Chester and AJ high-five each other and run into the next room/level. Timmy chases after them.

CUT TO:

INT. VIDEO GAME - LAST LEVEL - TIMMY’S LIVING ROOM

Timmy and his friends enter Timmy’s living room. Everything seems normal.

TIMMYWhew! We’re out of the game!

AJHow anti-climatic.

CHESTERYeah, what a gyp!

Timmy looks up and sees a Wanda Coin.

TIMMYHey, I don’t have floating coins in my living room...

He feels his head and realizes he still has his helmet on.

TIMMYMy helmet! We’re still in the game!!!

The room darkens. The floor shakes, then cracks open revealing... the VICKY VIPER-BOT.

VICKY VIPER-BOT(Sinister laughter)Well, well, looks like I’m having three helpings of twerp for dinner!

TIMMYTake off the helmets!!!

CHESTERDon’t freak dude, we still have two lives left.

The Viper-bot’s tail smashes down on all of them. They dematerialize as they’re hit. After a beat, they re-appear at the level entrance.

CHESTERFreak! We’re down to our last lives!

The Vicky Viper-bot spins around revealing large SPIKES on her butt. She tries to sit them to death.

VICKY VIPER-BOTTime to baby sit!

Her Butt comes down as the trio leaps away in different directions. Vicky raises her butt again. She’s about to sit on Chester and AJ. They don’t have time to move.

TIMMYNOOOOOOOO!!! They’ll be gone forever!

SLO-MO

Timmy jumps and pushes Chester and AJ out of the way just in time. Timmy gets sat upon, losing his last life.

CUT TO:

INT-TIMMY’S BEDROOM-DAY

Cosmo and Wanda, terrified, stare at the video screen. All the guy’s scores are visible next to their video likenesses. Timmy’s video likeness disappears.

WANDAOh no, that was Timmy’s last life!

COSMO(crying and still running on the treadmill)

It’s all your fault!

CUT TO:

INT-VIDEO GAME/VICKY VIPER-BOT LEVEL

There is a long beat. Smoke rises from where Timmy was “destroyed.”

CHESTERWhoa. He gave his last life for us.

AJEven virtually, that was pretty cool.

Chester and AJ look up at Vicky with steely determination!

CHESTER AND AJYou’re toast!

Suddenly, a glowing white “CUT-OUT” that looks like Timmy appears in frame. It explodes into a bunch of white shards, revealing... Timmy!

TIMMYI’m alive?

AJSacrificing your life for us must have given you enough points for a free man!

Timmy sees a COSMO COIN at the far end of the room, guarded by Vicky.

TIMMY A Cosmo Coin! Guys, we gotta get me to that coin! Ready?

ALL THREEGO!

They split in three different directions and run.

VICKY VIPER-BOTFear my sitting butt!

The Viper Bot’s butt moves towards AJ. Chester picks up a couch cushion and throws it over himself. She sits on the CUSHION, but it causes no damage.

AJWow! That’s comfy!

She turns her attention to Chester, plunging her open Viper Mouth at him to gobble him up. Timmy grabs a COAT RACK and throws it into her jowls, wedging them open.

CHESTERBeautiful!

Timmy is now close to the coin. Vicky opens her jowls wide and fires her two fangs like cruise missiles.

VICKY VIPER-BOTBye-bye, twerp!

The missiles close in on Timmy. They’re about to hit him when Chester jumps into frame and pushes the missiles against each other. They careen off screen and explode.

CHESTERGo, Timmy! Go!

Chester clasps his hands together and forms a step for Timmy, who uses it as a springboard to jump up and grab the Cosmo Coin! Cosmo poofs into frame.

COSMOI’m a Cosmo Coin and boy am I glad to see you!

TIMMYDitto!

CUT TO:


Wanda power-walks on the treadmill in “sports gear.”

WANDAThis’ll be great for my glutes!

CUT TO:

INT-VIDEO GAME/VICKY VIPER-BOT LEVEL - SAME TIME

COSMOWhatcha need, sport?

TIMMYI wish I had something to stop Vicky!

COSMOHey, that’s just vague enough to work!

Cosmo waves his wand and disappears. The front door opens. VIDEO VERSIONS OF TIMMY’S PARENTS walk in.

DADWe’re back Vicky, you can go home now.

VICKY VIPER-BOTNOOOOOO!!!

The Vicky Viper-bot dissolves into a pile of GOO. Game over! Timmy and his pals take their helmets off and leave the game.

CUT TO:

INT-TIMMY’S BEDROOM-DAY

Timmy, Chester and AJ appear in the room, holding their helmets. Cosmo and Wanda are in their fishbowl. The power comes back on.

CHESTERExcellent game dude!

Vicky bursts into the room.

VICKYAlright, game over! You twerps are out of here! Timmy’s got to rewire the house...

(in Timmy’s face)Because I can’t watch my shows!!!

CHESTERWe’re gone.

AJBye Timmy! See ya tomorrow!

Chester and AJ exit.

TIMMYWhy don’t you watch on this?

Timmy shows Vicky the VR helmet.

TIMMYIt’s a virtual television. These helmets put you right in the middle of your favorite shows!

VICKYGimme that!

Vicky grabs the helmet, puts it on and disappears. Her voice is heard from the TV.

VICKY(O.S.)Cool! Tether balls!

We hear a tether ball go right through her.

VICKY VIPER-BOT

Ow!(beat)

Hey, is that Timmy’s Aunt Gertrude? Ouch! Oooch! eech! Hey! Yow!

Timmy starts laughing his ass off. We pan over to reveal Cosmo and Wanda in their fishbowl.

COSMOHigh fin!

Cosmo and Wanda try to high-five, but their fins are too short.

WANDAHow ‘bout a kiss instead?

COSMOI’m game.

They kiss.
