U9 Freeman Sports Club Versus Mt Pritchard Juniors - Gold
Welcome to the final wrap up of this season's match report. This week was a real clash of the titans where both teams were equally matched. Our boys were playing to keep their title of undefeated and really had to work hard against Mt Pritchard as they were playing to win. The first half of the game had Freeman with the leading advantage of possession, but it was a real tug of war with the possession of the ball going back and forth between Freeman and Mt Pritchard. With Freeman scoring early in the game they spent most of the first half at the opposition's goals. The second goal was scored late in the first half where the goalkeeper picked up the ball half way into the goals. Going into the second half 2-0 Mt Pritchard came at us hard and quickly scored a goal against us. From then on it was a real tug of war back and forth between goals with some close misses by both sides. Eventually Mt Pritchard equalised the score and our boys made a valiant effort but just could not put the goal in that would win the game. We ended up in a tie and our only non win for the season, which is a real accomplishment for our team. To finish, I would like to say it has been a real pleasure working along side Frank who has really opened my eyes on the real enjoyment of the game of soccer and team spirit. Also to the parents and kids who have brought real joy and smiles to me every week. It has been my absolute pleasure bringing you the match report every week and having them eventually added to the Freeman website. Statistics for the game are as follows;

This week’s game was a beauty. It was an arm wrestle right to the final whistle. Both teams were evenly matched, and it was a great
challenging game for our team. I am extremely please with the way this team has performed and most importantly the way they carry themselves individually, and as a group. They really enjoy each other’s company and are the true definition of team spirit. Having said that, I feel the parents of these boys are a leading example to them as they share the same team spirit amongst themselves. As a coach, I am truly blessed to lead such a group of kids every week to represent our club. For me, our team this season is what this sport is about- making friendships on and off the field for both the kids and their families. We are a true example of what Freeman Sport Club represents. Congratulations to all on a stella season and for achieving the title of undefeated. A special thank you to David Morales for the time you have put in and has truly made this season enjoyable and very interactive. Frank. Regards

another 3-4 hours at the end of season picnic.
A bid Thank You for Anthony who was able to cut me so much needed slack this year. Thank you Mate!!!!
