Our body

We know that our brain receives information from the senses organs though the nerves. Then the brain sends messages back to the rest parts of the body. For example, if you see a ball flying towards your head, your brain will send a signal to your hand to block the ball before it can hit you.

But sometimes we need to move so fast that our brain does not have time to think. For example, when we touch something hot, our hand actually moves before the brain tells it to move. These are called reflexes.

Having good reflexes help us in sports, exercise, and everyday physical activities. Some people are born with fast reflexes, and others must practice them.

a The reads the signals sent by the senses organs.

b The messages sent by our brain to the different parts of the body go through

the .

c Some help us to be safe from danger.

d If we want to have reflexes, we can practice.
