The project was envisaged as one which would not have any monumentalcharacter, and also retain an Indian image in its outlook. The result was a sloping

roof structure, with stilted floors, along with double skin- louvers and glazedfacades, and an interesting use of glass cylinder.The involvement in this project (Christopher Charles Benninger Architects, Pune)was that of a detailed design development of the service areas, co-ordinationwith different consultants, construction documentation development andexecution.

Girls Hostel for College of Engineering, Pune

The Girls Hostel Building is envisaged as a part of the Masterplan for College ofEngineering Campus, Pune.

The details of the project are as follows:Built Up Area:1,40,000 sq.ftStatus: Work in progressDate of Completion:Expected by Feb 2012

The project was envisaged as a timeless project, which would stand out, thoughbe a part of the heritage buildings of the CoEP campus.The proposed faade was a juxtaposition of exposed concrete facet and exposedconcrete fins, along with interplay of glass with coloured bands. Each floor wascomposed of twenty double occupancy rooms with a terrace and shared toilet.

Landmark Cyberpark, Gurgaon

The details of the project are as follows:Plot Area:9.14 AcresBuilt Up Area:10, 28,900 sq.ft

Status: Work in progress (Phase-01)

This was a commercial cum IT office building space, with a commercialcomponent of approximately 14,000 sq.feet and the rest 10,14,900 sq.ft IT officespace. Developed in a strategic column grid of 8.4 metres x 8.4 metres, thebuilding has got a massing to provide daylighting to more than 85% of the officespaces, besides creating a post modern yet balanced form. Terraces are createdin triangular shapes and form a key component of the massing.

The involvement in this project (Christopher Charles Benninger Architects, Pune)was that of a Project Architect, not limited to: Schematic Design documentation,

detailed design development, along with co-ordination with service consultants.

R& D centre for Tata Chemicals, Pune

The details of the project are as follows:Plot Area:22.7 AcresBuilt Up Area:75,000 Sq.ft.Status:Schematic design stage

The project was envisaged with four types of laboratories: Green chemistry andcatalysis, Advanced materials, Biochemicals and metabolites, Nutraceuticals,

and an Administration block.The project was proposed over a steep site, with overlooking valley views for thelaboratories and the administration department. The layout planning was basedon a planning grid of 6.70 metres x 10.05 metres for the laboratory and 6.70metres x 6.70 metres for the laboratory support office. The grid planning wasbased on the layout of two lab modules, each of 3.35 metres x 10.05 metres.

The involvement in this project (Edifice consultants Pvt. Ltd) was that of a Designmanager, not limited to : Design development management, Co-ordination withthe clients and consultants, Project scheduling and Site execution monitoring.
