This Week... Diary of events for the coming

weeks

Happy Birthday Dear... Who’s celebrating?

All Nations Church; never give in. We face things in life that God wants us to overcome. Believe that. God wants your success. He is rooting for you and me. On the field of play that is your life and mine, God stands at the sideline cheering us on. There are some things you hear in life that grab hold of you and you never forget them. I remember hearing an American preacher use these words: “So many Christians give up right at the point of their breakthrough. The enemy knows that they are about to break through and so, with one last roar, the dying animal gives it everything he has, and tragically it is all too often enough to stop us in our tracks.

Yet, if we had just kept going, if we could only have seen that we were right at the point of our breakthrough, surely we would have kept going.” All Nations Church; never give in. Don‟t drop your head and don‟t drop your guard. Keep your focus on Jesus and keep your fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Stand tall and stand firm, for you shall prevail, you shall break through.

On October 29, 1941, Winston Churchill visited Harrow School to hear the traditional songs he had sung there as a youth, as well as to speak to the students. He then gave what would become one of his most quoted speeches including: “Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never - in nothing great or small, large or petty - never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

LOVING-KINDNESS.”

JEREMIAH 31:3

“THIS IS LOVE: NOT THAT WE

LOVED GOD, BUT THAT HE

LOVED US AND SENT HIS SON AS

AN ATONING SACRIFICE FOR

OUR SINS.”

1 JOHN 4:10 As some of you will know, our beloved 'daughter-in-law' Emily is fighting cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. She and our son have young children and this is a difficult time for us as a family, but our hope and confidence are in God, who is in control of the situation. Our eyes on are fixed on Him and we continue to praise Him for His goodness and unfailing love.

On Friday 25th February, we will be observing a day of prayer and fasting for Emily's speedy and full recovery, and we invite anyone who feels able to, to pray and fast with us on that day. The prayers of God's people are powerful and effective.

We also want to say a very big thank you to all who have supported us practically and prayerfully and with love and encouraging words. You are the best people in the world, God bless you all.

4 “WE LOVE EACH OTHER BECAUSE HE LOVED US FIRST. IF SOMEONE SAYS, "I LOVE GOD," BUT HATES A CHRISTIAN BROTHER OR SISTER, THAT PERSON IS A LIAR; FOR IF WE DON'T LOVE PEOPLE WE CAN SEE, HOW CAN WE LOVE GOD, WHOM WE CANNOT SEE? AND HE HAS GIVEN US THIS COMMAND: THOSE WHO LOVE GOD MUST ALSO LOVE THEIR CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS.

“For I am confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”

(Philippians 1:6) God loves you, you are His masterpiece. Never give in. Winston Churchill went onto say to the boys at Harrow School: “Do not let us speak of darker days…these are not dark days; these are great days--the greatest days our country has ever lived; and we must all thank God that we have been allowed, each of us according to our stations, to play a part in making these days memorable in the history of our race.”

These really are great and exciting days.

You stand on the cusp of breaking through

into the new that God has for you. Never

give in.

Did you know that there are more than 2350 references to money and possessions in the Bible?

That‟s nearly one in every thirteen verses. Money matters. Crown Financial is an exciting course designed to bring you closer to the

purpose of God by teaching you how to steward your finances in a

Biblical way.

It is a practical course that includes teaching and budgeting to

manage your finances. The course is held in small groups over 10 weeks

and everyone taking part will be blessed by it.

In 2011 we will be launching the course in two initial sessions: first from March

– May and later in the year from September – November.

Please sign up at the welcome desk or speak to Ceri Briggs, or

Anthony and Lesley Thomas. Thank you.

On Monday 14th February David and Kath Gallimore met with Lara Cowpe, one of the local representatives of the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT). On behalf of All Nations Church they were happy to present a cheque for £4,000 which was the money so very generously given by the church in a recent special offering. The money will go to bless and support the TCT in Wales. In conversation with Lara about the work the TCT does it was great to learn that the money raised will go towards the children themselves. From treats to booking venues for the children to get together, have fun and share their experiences; or even for travel and hotel expenses for the young people to attend conferences, functions or concerts. The money will make a difference.

Furthermore, the money raised was another great tribute in the

ongoing celebration and memory of Jonathan Gallimore‟s

life. For that, David and Kath, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Caroline

express their gratitude to all their family and friends at All Nations

Church.

INSPIRE: God‟s Bookends

It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening. (Psalm 92:2) Bookends are handy things. They stop your books toppling over. For them to work properly you need a pair. God has given us a pair of 'bookends' for each day: one for the beginning of the day and one for the end. We need to use them both, otherwise our day can be lopsided or we may end up toppling over. These two bookends both

By Roger Aubrey

involve expressing something to God. In the morning we are to proclaim His unfailing love. That is His dogmatic unchanging attitude of covenant love that never varies, no matter what we say or do. It is always good to start each day by thanking God that no matter what happens He is good and His love towards you will never vary. The second bookend is to end the day by thanking God for all His faithfulness to you during that day. He kept all His promises. All he said He would be to you, He was. He never left your side for a second; He never glanced away from you. He remained faithful each moment of the day and in each circumstance. When you put your head on the pillow tonight thank God for His faithfulness during today; and when you wake in the morning thank Him for His love.

The days will be different.

Welcome to this week‟s „Puzzled‟ section of enews.

Whilst we know that Elvis wasn‟t THE King, he still penned some great songs that have been copied and covered by artists for the last fifty years. On the radio you would recognise them straight away - but how many of the song titles can you decipher from the clues to the right? We trust these will be “Always on Your Mind”, have fun...
