Tustin Adult School is a proud member of the Tustin Unified School District community of schools and the Southern Orange County Regional Consortium of Colleges and Adult Schools. These agencies provide funding through the California Adult Education Block Grant (AEBG) and Workforce Investment and Occupation Act (WIOA) Title II. We are proud to announce that as of 2017 we have earned accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) adding great value to our school and the programs we offer to the community.

Microsoft Office Specialist Preparation (MOS Prep)Get the advantage in today's competitive job market!! An intermediate to advanced class for students who are familiar wth the Microsoft Office suite of programs and who are interested in strengthening their skills in preparation for the Microsoft Office 2016 Specialist certification exams. Topics include: study and test-taking skills, Microsoft Office 2016 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook) and other skills necessary to prepare for CertiPort MOS exams. Prerequisites: Skills and knowledge sufficient to pass the Computer Literacy class (description below) which includes a solid foundation of the Microsoft Office 2016 Suite and the Windows 10 Operating System. Requirements: USB flash drive and headphones (earbuds.) Weekly and Saturday attendance is fundamental to successfully passing the MOS exam at a CertiPort testing center.

Computer LiteracyA beginning computer class to help students learn to use the computer for professional, educational or personal purposes. This course is perfect for a new computer user or those interested in "brushing up" or improving their existing skills. Topics include: Basics computer usage, keyboarding, Windows 10 Operating System, Microsoft Office 2016 (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), internet searches and browsing, communication and file management. Prerequisites: None. Requirements: USB flash drive and headphones (earbuds.) Committment to regular attendance and participation is fundamental to moving your skills forward.
V-ESL Computer Literacy For non-native speakers of English, all levels.
A beginning computer class designed for ESL students who desire to build vocational computer skills and improve job-related language ability. Join us for one or all of the sections listed below. Prerequisites: None. Requirements: USB flash drive.

Learn to create and manage data in spreadsheets using MS Excel. Students
will also discover how to easily make charts and graphs.
Topics include:Making (and managing) spreadsheets from scratch, maximizing the use of templates,
using tools to create graphic representations of data such as graphs and charts, mastering
basic formulas for easy data calculations!

Using Wix.com we will develop and publish your site with the included webhosting
and editing tools.
Topics include:Make your website from scratch or use a template that can be seen on the Internet
via a phone, tablet and/or computer. The Wix editor is user-friendly and easy to learn with
the guidance this workshop provides.
Prerequisite:Basic computer knowledge will be helpful.
PowerPoint & Public Speaking
Learn to create a PowerPoint slideshow, as well as develop the skills to inform and
engage your audience. We will also look at Prezi presentation software.
Topics include:Creating and editing PowerPoint slides, developing and use of tools to help you present confidently, includng verbal and
non-verbal techniques.

Interviewing Preparation
Does the idea of interviewing make you break out into a cold sweat?? Conquer your fear and join us as we learn and practice the
techniques that will help you with your upcoming job, college or citizenship

For students taking a diploma level math class, or preparing for the math portion of the High School Equivalency test of their choice (GED, HiSET and TASC), classes are available wwith a credentialed math teacher who will cover Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, and the skills required for any math elective. Additionally, Tustin Adult School staff will provide you with one-on-one assistence for building successful writing skills, as well as for developing effective study skills. This program can help with everything from arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) to understanding relationships between numbers, as well as fractions, decimals, percentages and how to do word problems. POLICIES AND NOTICESEligibility: Adult Education classes are open to adults 18 years old and older who are residents with the Tustin Unified School District service area, as well as residents of surrounding communities.
Attendance: All classes must meet the minumum number of students required in order to maintain "open" status. Please attend regularly to avoid closure of your class. Classes may be repeated until mastery is demonstrated.
No smoking: This includes tobacco products and electronic cigarettes. Students may not smoke on campus, in parking areas or in vehicles.

Exit Redhill from the I-5, turn North-East. Go through the first signal (El Camino Real),
then turn left on San Juan Street. Proceed down the block; the school will be on your right.
Note: Tustin Adult School shares a campus with Hillview High School.

How much does it cost? All of the classes in this brochure are free. Tustin Adult School is funded by the Adult Education Block Grant (AEBG) and WIOA Title II.
Who can attend? Adults who are 18 years old or older. Where are the classes held? Classes are held at various locations throughout the Tustin Unified School District; please see the schedule for specific information. The Adult School offices are located at our main campus at 1151 San Juan Street, Tustin, 92780 (same site as Hillview High School; formerly Lambert Elementary School) (714) 730-7395.
How do I register? Tustin Adult School generally accepts students on an open enrollment basis; for most programs, this means that you can start at any time. See the details for registering on each program page. Space is provided on a first come, first served basis, and waiting lists may be necessary if a class is full. For Diploma, HSE, and Adult Basic Education, please call our office make an appointment with our Guidance Counselor at (714) 730-7395.
Do you have childcare?Many of our campuses offer childcare free of charge. Children must be potty-trained.
Where do students park?Tustin Adult School students are allowed to park on campus in any unmarked spot in the evening and any visitor space during the day. Students are encouraged to follow street signs if choosing to park in the street.
