Gaining popular- ity throughout the United Kingdom, the sport of toe wrestling has been making it easier to spread fungal diseases since the 1970’s. Toe wrestling is much like arm wrestling. It is common courtesy for each player to re- move the shoes and socks of their opponent. In order to beat the other player, one must pin their opponent’s foot down for three seconds. In 1997, the organizers applied for the sport of toe wrestling to be included in the Olympics, but sadly it was not accepted. Toe Wrestling Cheese Rolling For some foreign countries, cheese is not only used for consumption. Dating back over two hundred years, the sport of cheese rolling still exists today around the United Kingdom. From the top of Cooper Hill in the UK, a large round of cheese is rolled and com- petitors race to the finish. Instead of racing each other, the cheese is the one to beat. Once thought to simply be a fictional game in a series of magical books, has now become reality for local universities. Webster University located in Webster Groves has much more to offer than just average clubs and sports. Recently, students at the university have come together to create a spin-off of the well-known game played in the Harry Potter movie series. At Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois, students have also had the opportunity to recreate this exciting game. Quidditch at Loyola is played the same way it is in the movies, without the concept of magic. Seven players to a team, all of which are running around the field with official HP broomsticks. 6
