The encounters of design anthropology are unfolding in situated practices of both professional and academic work and these practices are only partly accessible through traditional modes of academic discourse. To stimulate inquiry and reflection on these unfolding practices, the conference invited exhibits that opened up such design anthropological encounters.

The Design Anthropological Futures Conference hosted twelve Interactive Exhibitions. An interactive exhibition is a multi-sensory presentation model which integrates different forms of material (such as audio, video, physical installations, etc.). The exhibits were presented throughout the conference, and formed the bases of short workshops where exhibitors invited conference participants to engage with the exhibited content, furthering the discussion about design anthropological practices.

The Interactive Exhibitions were curated by Brendon Clark, Sara Reinholtz & Nicholas Torretta of the Interactive Institute Swedish ICT.
