Approval process

Approval of the CM programme shall cover the following:

Maintenance strategy, including business goals

Training programme/plan

Monitoring methods for components, including baseline

Condition monitoring equipment

Implementation of condition monitoring in the planned maintenance system

Programme for lubricating oil analysis

A company approval will be granted if the above documentation is accepted

Company and

Approved Service Suppliers for CM

New Rules under development:Condition monitoring as part of the periodical surveys of machinery and equipment

can be carried out by a qualified company approved by the Society. This minimizes

the requirement to oversee the condition monitoring onboard each individual vessel.
