1.Apparatus is set up as shown.

    2. Watercolour paper is placed on level 1.

3.Dyed water is poured and focused on one spot.4.Remove paper after 15 seconds of dripping.

    5. Apparatus is wiped down to prepare for next step.

    6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for level 2 and 3.

    7. Tests are repeated 3 more times.

Conclusion: Sand sediments and size of droplets decrease as water goes down the lter.

Scattering of droplets is minimal a nd dened singular shapes are more prominent.

I chose to focus my studies on sand and dyed water.

This combination creates a more restraint bordered droplet and had an interesting interior structure created by the sand residue.

3.Dyed water is poured and focused on two spots.

4.Remove paper after 15 seconds. of dripping.

    5. Apparatus is wiped down to prepare for next step.

    6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 but for level 2 and 3.7. Tests are repeated 3 more times.

Conclusion: Sand sediments and size of droplets decrease as water goes down the lter.

There are multiple dened shapes in this experiment where some are conjoint.

    6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 but for level 2 and 3.7. Tests are repeated 3 more times.

Conclusion: Similar to two-drop experiment. However, this experiment shows a signicant

dierence with its larger network of droplets combined to form a large droplet. Even though

a large droplet is formed, the small droplets shapes can still be dened.

Layering droplets acquired from the lters dierent levels on top of each other to generate a 3D form.

Droplets are layered with largest droplet at the base for stability.

The exterior form is generated by the boundaries of the droplets. The interior angular columns are generated by smaller shapes created by the sand residue.

Forms generated create owing canopies, shade, funnels , continuous and open spaces. The form moves from having a chaotic base to a simple open upper space.

Forms are more complicated in two dropexperiment

    Multiple standalone forms are generated.

The individual forms connect through the negative space around them.

Multiple forms are still generated, however, the individual forms are now combined

to form a complex of forms that interconnect through bridges.

The columns are consistently more at the bottom level ,holding up the levels above.
