Purpose Provides overview indoctrination of several parts of the NCSX

Engineering Web This module will focus on the last two parts of the NCSX Engineering Web

Engineering Management & Systems Engineering Other

Parts I–II and IV will provide overview indoctrination of the other parts of the NCSX Engineering Web

Part I (Module 2A) – Work Planning & Project Control, Project Files, and Management Plans & Procedures

Part II (Module 2B) – Specs, Design Criteria, & Statements of Work and Design Reviews, Analyses, and R&D

Part III (Module 2C) – Design Data and Fabrication Assembly, and Installation & Test Plans

Later modules to go into much further depth on how the NCSX Project will do business

The NCSX Engineering Web is, to a major extent, the electronic NCSX filing system

Exceptions are the models and drawings contained in the Pro/INTERALINK data base and the hard copy supplier and other PPPL documents stored in the PPPL Operations Center

However – bulk of files stored electronically on this web

Critical Issues

As part of the WP process, risks are identified per ENG-032 processes when the WP is initiated

Purpose of Critical Issues List is to identify near term risk items that have been identified and to track their status3 Stages of Risk

Mitigation

• 1 – risk identified but no mitigation plan formulated

• 2 – risk mitigation plan now formulated and being implemented

• 3 - risk retired
