Emerge seeks to engage young professionals through authentic community, providing opportunities to build meaningful relationships and impact our church, city and world. For the past 15 years she has been teaching and speaking God's Word to women of all faith backgrounds. Robin believes God has called her to "Count it all joy when we face trials of many kinds." She speaks with candor about her walk with Christ, a time-honored marriage, raising children and coming face to face with the reality of breast cancer. Her messages of "Pathways to Joy" will have women relating to her life stories on many levels.

Join the retreat on Friday night to kick start your weekend and laugh together with comedian Susan Williams. It is sure to be a joy-filled weekend.

Update from Dr. Dan Nessleroade in MaliCCC has been blessed to partner with amazing missionaries in Mali for the past 9 years. Dr. Dan Nesselroade, the Medical Director at the Hospital for Women and Children in Koutiala, has been a faithful servant for many years. "It has been a turbulent 2012 for the country of Mali. The coup d’état in March and the subsequent fall of the north to salafist groups have thrown the country into disarray. Al Qaeda appears to be our northern neighbor for the foreseeable future, as the UN doesn’t forecast troops on the ground here until September of 2013 at the earliest. Of course everyone is hoping for a peaceful solution, it just seems hard to imagine that any lasting peace could be negotiated.

Life has been pretty normal here in Koutiala. The hospital has continued to grow despite the unrest. If my numbers are correct, we should deliver baby number 10,000 this month or next. We had a record of 189 deliveries in October. October also saw the addition of over 200 solar panels at the hospital to supplement the power. This should reduce our electric bill dramatically and free up income for salaries and growth.

Many of you ask about our chicken farming project at Bethel Bible school. We have about 930 chickens that are actively laying over 700 eggs a day. I do little more than check up on it now, as it is being successfully managed by Malians and I am swamped at the hospital. But it gives me great joy to watch them succeeding and reaping such a profit from their efforts. There seems to still always be an egg crisis here in town, so I think enough market is there to easily double our production in years to come, and still not meet the demand.

Score 4 Sports basketball leagueScore Basketball is in need of volunteer coaches and assistants - an extraordinary opportunity to encourage, challenge and provide a safe environment for kids to grow and learn about God's love. Over 200 elementary age kids play in a league formed when Bo & Sarah Buettenback joined forces with Bridge Church pastor and former Creighton basketball player Josh Dotzler. Financial resources are a blessing, a result of God’s provision and a tool to be used to worship God. Followers of Christ acknowledge that material possessions belong to God and the return of money to the local church is an investment in the Kingdom.

Through prayer, seek a clear conscience in regard to investing in the work God has given CCC to accomplish. Kids Wing security updateThe final piece of Automated Check-in is in motion and ready to be implemented on Sunday, January 6. Thank you for giving to DYI to provide this safe environment for kids at CCC. Beginning January 6, only parents and children with tags will be permitted access to the interior halls in the Kids Connect wing. Kiosks for check-in will continue to be accessed in 3 areas: Nursery, Kids Connect East Lobby, and Kids Connect West/Chapel lobby. Parents and children WITH TAGS will be permitted to access to interior hallways/rooms at these 5 locations, marked by a star: 1st & 2nd floor / East Kids Connect entrance 1st floor / West Kids Connect hallway (Purple/wave) 1st floor / North West hallway (Yellow/circle) 2nd floor / Worship Center balcony (orange/diamond) General access will be restricted on Sunday AM at the 1st floor Purple hallway near the Worship Center and 2nd floor Northwest staircase entrance.
