As no common agreement exists, mobile phone manufacturers are able to implement a variety of Bluetooth® profiles in their devices. A possible outcome is that an incompatibility can occur betweenthe phone and hands-free system, which in some cases may significantly reduce the system performance.

To avoid this, only phones that appear on this list of approved devices should be used.
