• NEC  started  PC  communication  service  named  "PC-­‐VAN"!• WIDE,  PC-­‐VAN  and  NIFTY-­‐Serve  started  the  interconnection  experiment!

• Started  Internet  access  service  as  a  business  of  NEC!• Operated  stable  ISP  backbone  network  in  Japan!• PC-­‐VAN  was  integrated  to  BIGLOBE!• NEC  BIGLOBE  Ltd.  was  incorporated  as  spin  off  subsidiary  of  NEC!

• BIGLOBE  and  Clara  setup  a  Fullroute  Pte.  Ltd  in  Singapore,  as  a  regional  business  arm!

• Renamed  to  BIGLOBE,  Inc.    because  of  shareholder  change  from  NEC  to  Japan  Industrial  Partners
