Day 1 Departure Airport
Arrival in Johannesburg OR Tambo Or Tambo Guesthouse
We stay in a guesthouse just outside of the city center.
Day 2 Visit Panorama Route Moholoholo Forest camp
Today we embark on the Panorama Route with Blyde River Canyon. After a 360km road trip
we arrive in Graskop, where we visit the Pinnacle rock. Afterwards we go to
God's Windows where we might possibly see Mozambique on the horizon, after which
we go for a hike and visit Bourke Luck Potholes, where the Blyde and the Treur
River come together. Then we arrive at the most beautiful viewpoint of the Canyon, namely
'Three Rondavels' named after the 3 women of Chief Maripi. We will then continue on
the Abel Erasmus pass, through the Hans Strydom tunnel towards the Hoedspruit mountains.
We'll spend the night in a lodge where we will stay for 2 nights and where we will
enjoy some more adventurous safari's.
Day 3 Visit Moholoholo Rehabilitation Center Moholoholo Forest camp
In the morning after breakfast we visit the Moholoholo Rehabilitation
Center where wounded wild animals are taken care of. Afterwards we have a nice lunch
and we head out to the Swadini Nature Reserve in the afternoon. We walk to the
Forest Falls and afterwards we go on a boat trip on the Blyde River Canyon Lake, still the
homestead of many hippo's and crocodiles. We sail up to the Kadeshi waterfall which has
the shape of a gorilla's face. The Blyde River Canyon is 25 km long and on average
750m deep. It is the greenest canyon in the world. We round off the day with a
late-night open Jeep safari through the park, and afterwards a delicious dinner.
Day 4 "Jessica the Hippo " Olifants Camp Krugerpark
We start the day with an early morning walk under the guidance of an experienced
park ranger and go searching for animals by following their tracks. Then we visit
the infamous "Jessica the Hippopotamus". That same afternoon we'll have our very first
encounter with the "Kruger Park" where we'll spend the next 3 nights. Kruger Park extends
over 360km from north to south and 65 km from east to west.
Olifants Camp has the most spectacular view over the Olifantsriver. One can spend hours
watching the wildlife in the distance through binoculars.

Day 5 "Kruger Park" Satara Camp Krugerpark
Today we start our 2-day safari through the Kruger Park. We're on the South-Eastern
side, close to the Mozambiquan border. This is one of the most interesting areas of the
Kruger Park due to the presence of the Sabie River, which even in periods of extreme draught
keeps on supplying water for the animals to drink.
We sleep in Satara Camp, this camp is situated in the middle of the famous cat area and
is known for the possibility to see all animals of the Big 5.
The area is also known for its spectacular sunsets. The game at Satara Camp is very diverse
and there is abundant birdlife.
Day 6 " Kruger Park" Lower Sabie Camp Krugerpark
Today marks our 3rd day of safari in the Kruger Park. We drive further towards the South of the park.
This is the area where many of the wild feline family and hyena's are spotted. Even the endangered
rhino is observed here. The Kruger Park has an impressive inventory
of different animal species: 150 mammals, 507 birds, 33 amphibians, 114 reptiles and
50 fish species have already been observed in the park.
We spend the night in Lower Sabie Camp, it's a large camp on the Sabie River which overlooks
the Lower Sabie Dam. The camp has beautiful green lawns and offers lots of wildlife.
Day 7 " Kruger Park" Laughing Waters in Hazyview
Today will be our 4th and last day of safari. We drive towards the West of Kruger Park,
which is surrounded by rocky mountains. This area has the highest rainfall, and as a result
there are endless fields of high grass. It has a rich birdlife and plenty of animals roam around
the dam. We leave the park late afternoon and spend the night in the beautifully situated
'Laughing Waters', a very nice guesthouse on the Sabie River. The Guesthouse is
located in a large nature reserve with its own lake, homestead to many hippo's.
Day 8 On the way to Cape Town African Palm Cottage
After a delicious breakfast we pass the lake, where you will see the hippo's from a very
short distance. We'll stop to take some unique pictures.
Then we drive from Hazyview to Johannesburg, where you catch the plane
to beautiful Cape Town.

Day 9 "Township Tour" African Palm Cottage
Today we visit the slums, as they are also part of South-Africa's daily reality.
The "Township Tour" starts in District 6, where we will be offered a brief explanation
of the history of this neighbourhood, in which thousands of people were driven out of their homes
during the Apartheid years. Then we continue to Langa, the oldest township in Cape Town.
We do this tour in collaboration with a local organization, managed by people who live in the
township themselves. This way we get a much more realistic and intense view on its daily life
and its residents. We will also visit some of the township's employment projects.
In the afternoon we visit the Bo-Kaap, also called "Cape Malay". A beautiful neighbourhood,
recognizable by its bright and colourful houses and spicy exotic scents which are distributed
by countless little restaurants and shops.
The national Slave Museum, near the city's Company Gardens, will teach us more about
the slavery, Apartheid and oppression of the South-African people throughout history.
We head out to the Green Market for some souvenir hunting and spend the evening
in the lively V&A Waterfront, a typical cozy harbour with nice restaurants and beautiful
stores.
Day 10 "A day along the Cape Peninsula" African Palm Cottage
You have an interesting and beautifully filled day ahead, because today we are taking you
along the Cape Peninsula on the "Peninsula Tour".
We start in the coastal town of Hout Bay where we sail to Seal Island,
a rock formation on which hundreds of fur seals find their home. We drive further along
Chapman's Peak, a picturesque mountain pass that connects Hout Bay with Noordhoek and one
of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world. We drive on through the rugged coast to the most
South-western point of the African continent, "Cape Point" where the Indian and the
Atlantic Ocean meet. We offer the possibility of a walk there
to experience enchanting views over the sea and the mountains to the Cape of Good Hope.
On the way back we drive past the picturesque coastal villages of Kalkbaai and Muizenberg.

Day 11 " Stellenbosch and Franshhoek " African Palm Cottage
Today we start with a walk in the old city center of Stellenbosch and
we visit the Stellenbosch museum. We finally arrived in the "Boland", this region
is also called "the Winelands" and is known for its many green fertile
valleys and rich vineyards.
We also visit Franschhoek, a stylish village with a large selection of elegant shops,
wineries and restaurants.
Day 12 "Hermanus " African Palm Cottage
We drive along the breathtaking coastal road and make a stop at Stony Point
penguin colony in Betty’s Bay. We continue our way to Hermanus, known for the
whales. In the harbour we embark on a boat, which will bring us closer to the whales.
Hermanus also offers numerous nice restaurants and shops.
Day 13 "Table Mountain" African Palm Cottage
Today leaves us with only a half-day excursion, just a visit to Table Mountain.
Admire the beauty of Cape Town from the top of Table Mountain with an
unforgettable ride on the cable car. Take a walk around Devil's Peak.
There are also countless photo opportunities at the top of Signal Hill.
Day 14 "Home sweet Home "
Unfortunately, the time to say our goodbyes has arrived, we have to take you
to the airport where your plane is waiting to take you home.
All beautiful songs come to an end, but one thing is for sure. You will enjoy the
beautiful memories of this wonderful journey for years to come.
