14 Days | Singapore Delights | Royal Caribbean: Quantum of the Seas

Day 1: Arrive Singapore Welcome to Singapore. Today is an arrival day and a chance to relax after your flight from home. We will meet at 6pm for a Welcome meeting before heading out for dinner

Day 2: Singapore – Singapore Mon 19 Oct 2020 | Depart 5:00 PM

Singapore After breakfast, check out of your hotel and have the morning to explore Singapore. We will meet in the hotel lobby at 1.30pm for our coach transfer to Quantum of the Seas.

The Singapore Cruise Centre sits near famous Sentosa Island, an entertainment complex that includes high end restaurants and well-manicured beaches, so you might consider arriving an hour two early to enjoy some time here before your cruise from Singapore.

The cruise port is about 10 minutes from the city centre.

Whilst on the cruise you will be entertained by Damian Mullin (performance dates and times to be confirmed).

Whether you seek an adrenaline rush or total tranquillity, our ships have it all. Try rock climbing, bumper cars and flying without having to leave the ship in our

skydiving simulator. Melt away land-based stress with a spa massage, build a scrapbook of memories or simply relax by the side of the pool.

Day 9: Cruising Mon 26 Oct 2020

When our ships hit the high seas, the excitement of Casino Royale® kicks off. Try your hand at our card tables, spin to win at roulette and hit it big time with the pull of a poker machine.

Day 10: Port Klang – Malaysia Tue 27 Oct 2020 | 8:00 AM To 5:00 PM

Malaysia Kuala Lumpur is a bustling hub for business, media and the arts. There are luxury hotels, mega-shopping centres and skyscrapers as well as heritage architecture and multicultural ambiance in districts like Merdeka Square, Chinatown and Little India.

Visit the Petronas Tower, second tallest in the world, Kuala Lumpur Philharmonic and more.

Day 11: Singapore – Singapore Wed 28 Oct 2020 | Arrive 6:00 AM

Singapore Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, we will embark on a city including Singapore Cricket Club, Parliament House, National Gallery Singapore and the Merlion Park with impressive views of Marina Bay.

Visit Thian Hock Keng Temple, and Chinatown. Proceed to the Singapore Botanic Gardens including the National Orchid Garden. Let your senses come alive at Little India. Our tour will end at Gardens by the Bay where you will have time to visit the many displays and see the amazing Sound and Light show.

Filled with glittering skyscrapers, Singapore practically hums with business and trade. You'll also find multi-ethnic culture, great cuisine and attractions that include modern malls, traditional shops, colonial buildings and historic temples.

Thain Hock Keng, The 'Temple of Heavenly Bliss' is one of the oldest Chinese temples in Singapore.

Day 12: Singapore – Singapore Thu 29 Oct 2020

Full Day Round Island Tour including lunch.

Today we head out of the city and visit Singapore’s highest pedestrian bridge – Henderson Waves. Then onto Mount Faber and Telok Blangah Hill. We’ll continue west to Haw Par Villa. Journey north to Kranji War Memorial to pay respects to World War II heroes. Lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to Bright Hill Temple. View the Selarang Barracks – where the infamous Barracks Square incident occurred during WWII. Drive past Changi Air Base towards Changi Village. If time permits, we may drive past and view the Johore Battery Monster Gun and visit the Changi War Memorial (subject to reopening after restoration).

Day 13: Singapore – Singapore Fri 30 Oct 2020 Day at Leisure

In the evening, an included dinner along the Singapore River while dining on a Bento dinner of local fare. Take in the most breathtaking views of the Singapore skyline as we cruise along the historic Singapore River. Our last stop this evening will be at the historic Long Bar at Raffles for a taste of Singapore’s very own concoction, ‘the Singapore Sling’.

The following terms and conditions (‘booking conditions’) form the basis of your contract with Meridian Travel and our suppliers (‘Meridian Travel’, ‘we’ or ‘our’). Please read them carefully as they set out your and our respective rights and obligations. By asking us to confirm your booking, we are entitled to assume that you have had the opportunity to read, and have read these booking conditions; that you agree to them and that you agree to them applying to your holiday arrangements booked with us and which we agree to make, provide or perform (as applicable) as part of our contract with you. References in these booking conditions to your ‘holiday package’ are references to the tour package you have booked with Meridian Travel.

GOVERNING LAW

These booking conditions are governed by the law in force in Victoria, Australia.

PRICES – DEPOSITS – DISCOUNTS – PAYMENTS

Your booking price will be set out in this brochure unless it is varied by advertising or a special offer, or is changed after the publication date for any reason, including without limitation; to cover changes in government taxes and charges, exchange rate variations, fuel surcharges, airline charges, forced majeure event or other material increases by suppliers.

A $500 non-refundable security deposit per person, is required on initial booking confirmation.

A second non-refundable deposit of $600 per person will be required at the time of flight schedule released (approximately 1 December 2019). Final payment of the balance of your holiday package price is due 10 May 2020 unless stated in the terms of a special offer. Meridian Travel reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payment has not been received within the specified time. All fares and charges are in Australian currency.

LATE BOOKINGS

Payment in full is required at time of booking for reservations made after the final payment date. If Meridian Travel is unable to confirm your reservation, all monies will be refunded.

MINIMUM GROUP SIZE

A group is defined as 12 or more passengers travelling together. If the number of passengers decreases, the cost per passenger of your booking may increase and you may be subject to a change of conditions of travel.

INCLUDED IN HOLIDAY PACKAGE PRICE

All international airfares and taxes, coach and hotel accommodation, group airport transfers on the first day and within touring itinerary as specified, sightseeing, specified excursions, specified meals, admissions, and the services of a Meridian Travel Manager, local guides and driver as stated in your itinerary.

TRANSFERS

Group airport transfers are included on the first day and last day of the tour package. No refund will be given for unused transfers. Transfers cannot be re-routed to other pick-up points or destinations. Passengers who miss the pre-booked transfers must make their own way to/from the hotel at their own expense.

NOT INCLUDED IN OUR TOUR PRICE

Gratuities, laundry, travel insurance, passport and visa fees, meals or drinks other than those indicated in your itinerary, vaccinations & medical expenses, discretional tipping to local tour guides, personal incidentals, excess baggage, fuel surcharges and optional excursions and portage not specified in your itinerary.

DOUBLE/TWIN/TRIPLE ROOMS

Accommodation in all hotels, regardless of the rating, is in standard or run of house rooms (sometimes named superior/deluxe) based on doubles and twins unless otherwise stated. Triple and Single rooms are on a request basis only and are limited.

HEALTH AND FITNESS

A good level of fitness and health is required to participate on Meridian Travel’s tours. Mobility is needed boarding or alighting coaches and cruise ships. We recommend a visit to the doctor before travelling to overseas destinations and consult with them regarding any vaccinations which may be required. It is your responsibility to advise Meridian Travel of any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect the normal conduct of a holiday package and the enjoyment of other passengers.

VISA AND PASSPORTS

All passengers must have a valid passport that is valid for at least six months after their return date to Australia. Passengers must consult with the appropriate consulates to ensure that they have any applicable visas for countries included in the holiday package prior to departure. Passengers are solely responsible for meeting necessary passport and visa entry requirements and paying all associated costs. Meridian Travel is not responsible for delays or missed portions of the holiday package resulting from incorrect travel documents or visas. Visas are at passengers’ own expense.

OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS

Minimum and maximum group numbers apply on optional excursions.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel Insurance is not included in your holiday package. For your protection comprehensive travel insurance is compulsory. These details need to be disclosed to Meridian Travel prior to departure from Australia. Meridian Travel can also provide you with a quotation on Comprehensive cover.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

Where a special request (eg. diet, room location, twin and double bedded room, a particular facility at a hotel, particular meals) is an important factor in your choice of holiday, you must advise us when your booking is made. Meridian Travel will pass your request on to the hotel or other supplier but cannot guarantee that it will be accommodated.

CREDIT CARD SURCHARGES

If you pay Meridian Travel by credit card, a surcharge of approximately 1.6% will be added your tour price.

CHANGES OR ADDITIONS TO YOU HOLIDAY

Meridian Travel’s Elvis Singapore Delight tour cannot be altered in anyway and this itinerary is fixed for the duration of the tour. You can however add on arrangements at the start or end of the tour which Meridian Travel is able to assist with. If you want to change any part of your extended holiday arrangements after the invoice has been issued, we will do our best to make the change, but it may not be possible. Any request for changes must be made in writing by the person who made the original booking. If it is possible to make the change, it will be subject to an administration charge and payment of any further costs incurred as a result of the change. Any supplier amendment fee will also be incurred.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations must be received in writing by Meridian Travel and will be subject to the following cancellation charges from the date the written cancellation is received:

Prior to 09 May 2020: Loss of total accumulated deposit paid; 26 August 2020: 50% of holiday package price; 04 October 2020: 100% loss of holiday package price.

If your holiday has commenced, 100% of the full holiday package price is charged. There is no refund for unused services or if portions of the holiday package are missed. Additional cancellation fees may also be charged in respect to accommodation reserved outside the holiday package dates. These cancellation fees are in addition to any fees that may be levied by Meridian Travel. You acknowledge that the amounts estimated under the Cancellation Policy are reasonable and represent a genuine pre-estimate of Meridian Travel’s loss.

VARIATIONS TO CANCELLATION FEES

Note that different cancellation fees may apply to different travel components of the group tour (e.g. in the case of air tickets, there is often a 100% cancellation fee). No Show - No refunds will be made if you fail to show up for the service as confirmed.

CANCELLATION OF AIRFARES

Scheduled airlines normally regard name changes and changes to departure dates as a cancellation and rebooking, which may attract a cancellation fee. Applicable cancellation fees may amount to 100% of the airfare.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

You understand that some of our suppliers operate trips to geographical areas where, among other things, the standards of transport, accommodation, cleanliness, safety, medical facilities and other infrastructure may not be of the standard that you are used to at home. By booking with Meridian Travel and our suppliers you acknowledge that participation in any tour or expedition involves risks above and beyond those encountered on a more conventional or less demanding holiday.

BROCHURE ACCURACY

Meridian Travel has endeavoured to ensure that the information given in this brochure about accommodation, itineraries etc., is correct to the best of its knowledge at the time of going to print. However, advertised descriptions and facilities and prices may change after publication.

IF WE CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE

Meridian Travel endeavours to provide you with all the services confirmed to you at the time of your booking. However, we plan arrangements a long time in advance of your departure date using independent suppliers such as airlines, hotels, cruises, etc., over whom we have no direct control. On occasions changes do have to be made, and Meridian Travel reserves the right to cancel or amend holiday packages/excursions accordingly.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY IN THE EVENT OF FORCE MAJEURE

In the event that Meridian Travel cancels or changes your travel arrangements in any way due to a Force Majeure event, Meridian Travel will not be liable to you in contract, tort, statute or restitution for any loss (including, but not limited to, loss of deposit or purchase price and loss of enjoyment), damage, costs, charges, expenses or injury resulting from or in connection with (whether directly or indirectly): (a) the cancellation or change to your travel arrangements; or (b) the Force Majeure event. Meridian Travel is not liable to refund any part of the deposit or purchase price paid by you if Meridian Travel subsequently changes or cancels your travel arrangements in connection with a Force Majeure event. Force Majeure events are unpredictable and beyond Meridian Travel’s control. It is your responsibility to purchase travel insurance to adequately protect yourself against such risks.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY

DISRUPTION TO ITINERARY ARRANGEMENTS

Under normal operating conditions itineraries will be delivered as per the brochure. However, sometimes for reasons beyond our control, it may be necessary to make alterations to your itinerary. We recommend you take out comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage of events such as these, as we will not be liable for any direct or indirect costs incurred as a result of such events or other factors beyond our control happening.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

If you require medical attention, local medical services can be contacted immediately. You are responsible for all charges that result from a visiting a medical facility, or for a medical practitioner visiting you. Meridian Travel is not responsible for the type or quality of the medical services you may receive.

SERVICE ENQUIRIES If a problem occurs during your holiday you should, in your own interests, advise your Meridian Travel Manager so that steps can be taken to resolve the matter. If you remain dissatisfied, any complaint must be made in writing to Meridian Travel within 30 days.
