Mandate and way of working
• Launched by Prime Minister and Minister of Climate and Environment, June 2015
• To propose a national strategy on how the government best can enable and strengthen Norway's ability to succeed in a future low emission society, at national as well as international level
• Commission consists of Connie Hedegaard, former EU Commissioner for Climate, and Idar Kreutzer, CEO of Finance Norway. Report by October 2016
• Seeks advise broadly among businesses, organizations, research and authorities
• Key questions in mandate: – What are the main drivers for green competitiveness and what are potential consequences for Norwegian
businesses? – Where are the opportunities and barriers to succeed? – Where do Norway have best potential, and what should be done to stimulate green competitiveness?
• Commission operationalizes this into a search for solutions and policies that: reduce carbon emissions + create value + generate jobs

Shifting my focus: to some ideas for boostingthe green competitiveness of eMobility
• Have heard about Norwegian eMobility effort and success• Norway is the eMobility superpower – at least 5 years ahead• 60 000 eVehicles and drivers/owners/learners; extremely knowledgeable "lab rats"• Ruter, public transport provider in Oslo region (56% of Norway) is fossil free 2020
• But little focus on value creation and jobs, so far – Why?• Yes, we do not have car makers, but the shift is so much, much more …
• Some ideas about how to boost green competitiveness by combining:– unique pool of user experience– world's largest living lab– effective innovation methods, open innovation– the right players
