STATE WISE POULTRY IN INDIA 2003 SCOPE The data given refers to the state-wise population of poultry in India for the year 2003, as per the 17 th Livestock Census. Poultry has been divided into 4 categories- Chicken, Hens, Cocks and Duck etc. Chicken, Hens and Cocks are collectively categorized as fowl. The aim is to study the distribution of poultry across the states, so as to identify a consumption trend. METHODOLOGY The country has been divided into 4 regions to enable a comparative analysis. Summary statistics have been calculated, after which diagrammatic representation of data is showcased with the help of pie charts, bar diagram and box plot, based on which certain inferences have been drawn.
