Carmichael Centre for Voluntary Groups presents Dublin’s Good Friday Concert, Saint Patrick’sCathedral, Dublin, Friday April 6th 2012 at 8pmCarmichael Centre for Voluntary Groups is the first, largest and busiest shared services centre for voluntary and community organisations in Ireland. Carmichael Centre envisages a future where charitable, community and voluntary organisations are empowered and enabled to help all people to have access to the range of supports they need to lead fulfilling lives. Carmichael Centre provides a wide range of services to enable voluntary and community groups to maximise their impact.

There are 46 resident organisations inthe Centre which is based in two finelisted buildings, Carmichael House and Coleraine House, in North Inner City Dublin. This community of small charitable groups concerned with illness, social care, sport, education, the environment, disability and the arts, share the facilities and services that the Centre provides. It is a unique atmosphere in which small organisations can flourish and the wider voluntary and community sector can meet, communicate and support each other.

Almost 1000 other organisations used the services of the Centre last year.Carmichael Centre is committed to building stronger charitable, community and voluntary groups nationwide by providing the shared services, targeted training, good practice and governance support they need to build effective andsustainable organisations.

Carmichael Centre offers the following services: Office space, administration back-up, conference facilities and meeting rooms, training & support, customised training, a national governance project, telephone support service, consultancy service, payroll and accountancy services, information and communications technology support and assistance with policy development.

The Centre also provides space for debate on common issues to voluntary and community organisations.
